Hi
Remember most of you guys from the E-A board from a few months ago. I dropped out there after Jervis had announced the final draft had been made as once the rules had been set in stone I sorta lost some of my impetus to participate.
It was about that time a certain personality was starting to become a bit overwhelming.
Anyway here I am ready to discuss Epic in a much more laid back and friendly manner.

Hi!
Welcome Dooglebug!
I hope you enjoy your stay.
I soughta lost some of my impetus to participate. It was about that time a certain personality was starting to become a bit overwhelming
|
There is a petition being organized to "deal" with that "personality". It's pinned in this very section you posted. You can join the effort if you are so inclined.
Again, nice having you here!

Welcome aboard, Bug!

Thanks for the welcome.
I think I may refrain from signing the petition for the moment, as I'm no longer an active member there, I don't really want to get involved. A playtest board where there is no longer anything to playtest (so to speak) loses its appeal and purpose.

Anyway, I will add my welcome to the board. I look forward to some interesting discussions. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to PM (message) me.
All the best.

DoodleBug,
I think I may refrain from signing the petition for the moment, as I'm no longer an active member there, I don't really want to get involved. |
One of the problems the petition is aving is exactly the one you're mentioning. People are not happy about the situation, but they aren't willing to sign the petition or get involved. Jervis appears to be convinced that everything is fine. Without more support, I don't think the petition will convince him otherwise.
Then the problem just continues unabated.
You have nothing to lose signing the petition.
You have everything to lose not signing it since the problem bothering you will just continue to fester...
On the other hand, the personality you mentioned is getting better with time. I hope the process accelerates.
A playtest board where there is no longer anything to playtest (so to speak) loses its appeal and purpose. |
We still have the future army lists to playtest and the rules can still use finetuning. Your insights would still be appreciated and useful even if there are a few who can''t see their value right away.
Here's the URL for the petition:
Petition for Moderator Reform at E-A ForumsIt just takes a minute or two and is very easy to do.
Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
