Well, Idolators and Slaughter are a great combination. I guess that you have enough Cruisers for all of that... two for the Grand Cruiser, two and a grand for the Battleship, three for the second Battleship... is that right...?

yep, 5 normal cruisers and a grand cruiser allows me to have 2 battleships.
Being that the desolator is only 300pts it's hard to not include it
What do you think of the 2 battleships in 2000pts?

Difficult question. Generally, it is frowned on. As a rule, a big ship (Battleship, Planet Killer, etc) should be limited to about one every 1500 points. That being said, I would play against the fleet, just not if you took both Battleships every game.
The Desolator is a bargain at 300 points, but it can be VERY vulnerable if used wrongly. Isolated and unsupported it will die very fast, as it lacks the punch of a heavy weight fight.

Wow! Not sure i'd like to face that. Though I suppose it should be easy to outmanouver the fleet. Which escorts are the Idolators, I get them mixed up. The torpedoe ones I'm guessing.

I'm not certain that Grand Cruisers count toward Battleships. ?Heavy cruisers do, but I believe that's it.
Also, the slaughter and the Idolators may be fast, but once they're gone, a fast, maneuverable fleet (necrons, Eldar, DE) will get behind you and stay there until you're dead. ?Knowing that, I'd field escorts or light cruisers against you every time. ?That's fine, but it's a weakness. ?Fluff-wise, only 1 BS/1500pts is pretty good.

If I remember correctly, the Grand Cruisers count towards the Battleships in a Chaos fleet, but not in an Imperial fleet.
