Here is some i like:
-Close combat reaver: 2 chainsaw, one laser burner on the back. You can add close combat head (and tail if chaos). You get 4 dices +12 (or +14/16 with head/tail options). Can blow almost everything in cc.
-Bio titan hunter reaver: One fire control tower on the top, 2 volcano cannon. Expensive but deadly against things that haven't got shields !

I generally leave Reavers as long range fire support because they get toasted if they try to close. Warlords are up for some close work if you want it.
Loyalist Reavers; Option 1 - Volcano, Volcano, MRL. Option 2 TLD x3 Chaos Reaver - Option 1 - Volcano, Volcano, Warp Missile, Close Combat head. Option2 - no CC Head and a Barrage Missile instead (Orks and 'Nids).
Warlords are heaps fun, and much better value in NetEpic than Reavers (used to be the other way around). Favourites - Deathstrike, Carapace Landing Pad, MRL x3 (or swap oner for a Barrage); or FCC, Plasma Destructor, Wrecker, Power Saw. My favourite Chaos version is Havoc Missile Rack, Banelord Head and Tail, 2 Deathstorm....lots of fun there

It's hard for me to pick a "best configuration." It depends a lot on who the opponent is and what units I'm facing. I once managed to inflist a lot of pain on Eldar with a Reaver that was designed for close up fighting. It only had one close combat weapon, but the other two weapons were short ranged with lots of hit dice.

Never liked CC titans Too often a waste of points- if you set them up in the wrong place and they just get no/few targets. In SM I did used to try Warhounds with 2 Wreckers, but that's (quite reasonably) outlawed now. Might have to try a CC Reaver sometime.
My preference is for the reliable mix of Turbo-Lasers, Quakes, and Volcanos. Quakes are especially good against everything now. But I'm warming to the newer style Barrage Missile Launchers as well (though I don't really approve of the save mod upgrade, or shotgun mode).
Plasma Blastgun toting Warhounds are great for drawing fire away from the typically more valuable tanks. They just make people nervous. Sometimes i even get to fire them- which is nice. Vindicator tanks seem to have the same effect, despite being pretty useless most of the time.
We banned one-shot missiles back in SM days- too much rests on whoever fires first, cos the Warp Missiles destroys titans too easily. Are they reasonable now, with the current restrictions?

The Warp still works the same, but they are nominally restricted to Carapace locations only, so you can't take too many of them. ?They are also very expensive, so you pay for the gamble (the Chaos Reaver I listed with the Warp works out at 650 points). ? I seem to face Orks and 'Nids a lot so the Warp is poor value. ?The other one shots are also expensive, and I find they rarely live up to expectations.
I have never been a fan of Warhounds, but there are some interesting combinations now available that might make me revise my opinion. Two Warhounds with twin Quakes for 600 sounds kinda nice. You can also give them a Chain Fist and/or a Power Fist for an interesting Close Combat variant.

Thanks Zap looks like an unbanning's in order. Certainly our experiment of allowing them as IG Deathstrike Missile Launcher like missiles didn't work.
Warlord setup- Plasma (either, depends of if I want movement), Fire Control, Warp Missile- are likely again.
Do 2 warhounds (1 card) give all their VP's if one dies, or half VP of the card per warhound (ie. treated individually). Break Point of 'Each", isn't the same as 1? Makes a big difference to their usefulness. Don't think anything else says "each" in the Break Point.
That option 1 titan's head looks painful to me [wince] (need more emoticons!).

In NetEpic it is pretty much always the rule for big things that they give up their points only. So for a Pair of Warhounds you get half the points for killing one, and the other half for knocking over the second, which come to think of it is another reason why Warhounds seem better value now
On the Warlord, that's possible, though you can only mount 1 Warp as the FCC is also Carapace only. That's 825 points before you add the other weapon....assuming a Chain Fist and no head/tail/multilasers you have a bargain at 850 points

One of my faves is a Warlord with Plasma Destructor, Fire Control Centre, Power Saw, Carapace Multi-Laser and Laser Blaster (the Laser Blaster is from the bad ol' days when infantry could swarm a Titan) and at 785pts its a stone-cold bargain. It stands still and blasts the living bejeebus out of anything and everything it can see. Backed up by a Warlord configured like zap123's nurgle Warlord and there ain't nothin' that can stand against 'em (except perhaps more Warlords or an Imperator).

I like a reaver with Chainfist and 2 Plasma Cannon. I also have one with Powerfist and 2 Plasma Cannon. These are usually attached to my IG the first works well against SM (or other well armoured force). The second is better against Orks, (who are more likely to field war engines). I haven't worked out a weapons fit for my 3rd reaver yet but I find I have better options for long range fire than a titan in IG, (and precious few assault units).
Both my gargants have a mega-chopppa, long range shooting and not assaulting is just too unorky, (Even for a Blood Axe like me).

You do know you can't fire both Plasma Cannon in the same turn? And they can't be fitted on Reaver anyway (ruleswise).
