this should have been in English.....Reposting it from port maw......
I will test the wash tecnique tonight in one of the white ships, and drybrush in light grey or white the grey ship. If those 2 schemes do not come up well, I will give up. It seems speed painting is not my strength. I thought it would be easier. In that case I will get the needed black primmer and dedicte some quality time to paint the fleet well. It has been disastrous so far.

I inform you that I have been rather stupid.
The game is on the 29th, not the 22nd as I thought. I feel both relieved and ashamed of my hotheaded rush! That means I still ahve 1 week to go, including the weekend!
Time to re-start the project from scratch and doing it properly.
Cheers,
Xavi

START OF SECOND PHASE
Well, my camera died, and my charger is 500 miles away (girlfriend stole it, even if she claims that I am the one that lost the charger of his camera....) so no picture until the project is complete Tough luck.
- I re-primmed all my ships in black. - Re-primmed the undersuide in white, but allowing some of the black to show up (looks like pale grey) - Spray-painted the upper surface in light grey.
The overall look is good IMO, and MUCH better than with pure white primming (the ship was too light before). TThey look more like WWII ships than anything. I am deciding on complementary colors (difficult, with light grey) but will probably go for painting the lines in the ship in white, and using black for the guns, antennas and the like, as well as for the zigzag pattern in the prow. I need a tertiary color (red, green, yellow, blue...) to make the lights and such and to give some color to the ships. Suggestions that go well with the previous colors appreciated.
Cheers,
Xavi

I thought about it, but the ships might looks too.... dull? Dunno if that is an appropiate look. They would look almost exactly as WWII ships. That is not bad per se, but they look too camuflage-ish without striking points. It can combine well, but I think I will go for a more extreme red or something to mark contrast.

Wow! THAT would be a contrast color! LMAO!
I think I will not go for such a radical extreme, but I will think about it when I have the ships in front of me
Cheers,
Xavi

I am probably going to test something along those lines. I just spray-painted the ships grey today, so until tomorrow I am unlikely to test the tertiary color. Might make a test with my test ship today, though: it has so many layers of paint on it that it is starting to look like a romboid....item, more than a proper ship with detail. Por Carnage....
Cheers,
Xavi

Bacl of ships paointed with white drybrush, trying to keep to the edges. Along with the blackline in the prows it looks good. The prows are blacklined in black (easy with the raised lines) with the back of the arrowhead lines painted white. Crap description but you will see when they are finished. I stole the digicam of my sister, so you will have pictures of this when the process finishes
Still undecided on the secondary colors. I also noticed that I should have spray-painted less grey paint on the ships. The best looking one so far is a Hades that shows more black than the rest of the ships.
Today I will use the poor Carnage of mine to test some secondary colors (it looks more like a blurb than a proper warship right now...) and staret painting the Histerical ExGirlfriend.
Will keep you posted.

I need the connection cable for that. I will post the whole process once I finish painting it. I warn you that it is NOT the best looking fleet ever, since i decided to change my previous (standard black-red) color scheme for this one. It is made on the fly and fast. besides, I am a crap painter, but hey. The final scheme looks good enough right now. We will see how it ends up looking.
Great propaganda for myself, eh?

Well, I have decided to stop the ships in their current stage of painting. I need to decide a tertiary color that goes well with the black-grey-white scheme. Probably red, but not sure about it. The ships are good enough to play IMO, so they are hitting the table as they are. The only ship to go is the Hysterical Exgirlfriend. Just primmed her.
