Well it would be good for GW to do 3000 point core armies - with 500-1000 extra points of tat that can be mixed in to taste (this is your 3000 rarely works well, eg how long will you keep all those snipers in the guard?).

I think the general price/unit hierarchy on eBay seems to be:

1) large lots/armies that are not completed
2) small lots, painted
3) small lots, unpainted or primed
4) large lots/armies, fully painted and based

They are generally the best source for Epic, new or old ... there are always 5-9 pages of it !

Epic demand does seem to be up. Perhaps it is due to the realization that epic support of any kind from GW could go completely away any day now if GWs situation doesnt improve. Plus many of the models are getting progresively longer oop nowadays.

Check Chaos Orc periodically. I know I've seen them there in the past. I don't remember how much he charges for one, but if you're willing to pay his price and for shipping from the US, he's a good source of OOP minis.

What I've been thinking now... as I watch the price on a set of Ordinati soar beyond the 7 heavens, is that I could be getting new GW or DR or EW instead :)

Heh, maybe it's getting hot because I've decided to get into it?

I've just been watching for decent deals for recent stuff instead of OOP stuff like Tyranids, though.

They seem to be averaging around 24 quid now based on the last 4 I saw on Ebay.  I've got a sell order in on all mine when they hit 40  :D

Agreed, keep waiting. If you're patient enough, you'll get a good deal on something eventually.
