Continuing on with a new weekly IG unit review.  I've taken a look at what threads I could find with regards to Rough Rider review on this forum and the SG forum.  I hope I got most of the changes people proposed.

I think reducing the Armour of the unit isn't necessary, they are equivalently tough as Ork boyz and I think it should remain.  I also think the Power Lance's extra first strike attack accurately reflects what the weapon should do.  I think the CC should be reduced, however, to 5+. They are guardsmen after all and I think the additional attack is more than enough to represent their close combat advantages.

I purpose the following unit description, with the reduced CC and the cleaned up weapons section.

Rough Riders

As is always said "Compare them to Assault Marines"... *laugh*

I'd *still* take them at 150 points for "my" stats, but they wouldn't be a "no-brainer"... consider as well, they'll almost always have a Commissar in there... probably need a note that any "extra attacks" they get *don't* have first strike!

I would even be happy with 5+, first strike, no extra attacks as these are gaurd after all that also get infiltrate and scout.
