Do you remember another thread in which people talked about it? Now you can take a look for free here:

I'm happy to again find a reference written by Jervis stating that he intended to bring more unit types into the existing armies... Land Raider Crusaders for the core army list please! :)

This was written well over a year ago so its not current and doesn't necessarily represent current plans for the game.

It's more than over a year ago...

"WHITE DWARF SUPPLEMENT #6 - MARCH 2004"

It's *three* years ago... that was probably even before the "restructuring" so, in essence, it's completely irrelevant... sorry to burst any bubbles.

Oh it's old, there's no doubt about that.

Interestingly, another 'restructuring' could be on the very distant horizon for Epic... not for the moment though.

Essentially, I managed to get a short chat with Jervis a few weeks ago... he reckoned that the only way Epic will ever see proper investment again if the main studio structure doesn't change is if it is peeled off and operated as a mini company unto-itself with a seperate budget, staff & sales distribution line, ala ForgeWorld.

It ain't gonna happen soon though. :)

You mean like Specialist Games?

Nope, SG is an umbrella group with (IMHO) questionable independent status. This theoretical re-organisation would see Epic as a mini-company unto itself ala ForgeWorld.

The other option Jervis mentioned was simply to have ForgeWorld itself do more Epic stuff.

It is now. IIRC it was originally created as its own company though specifically to support the non-core games.

Either way, unless someone other than the current management is in charge its all a pipe dream anyway

Forge world doing models but not rules would be the best option currently. Otherwise spinning it off like warhammer historical could be an option.

sounds like wishfull thinking on Jervis part, I mean I'd love to see it happen, but its about as likely as hitting the lotto or getting struck by lightning at this point.

Speaking of SG articles... are we not at the 'third Friday of the month' and passed? Anyone have any news on Fanatic Online Mag?

Maybe they mean the third Friday following a complete week?
