CQ-Sac-2007 Photos Up!
Hi Everyone,
I finished posting the ConQuest-Sac-2007 gaming convention photos for anyone interested.
You can find them here:
http://s44.photobucket.com/albums....ac-2007
***Warning*** Some of the sub-galleries have adult-themed games (strong language but no nudity other than the occasional Pict / Gaul armed with blue war paint and an aim to misbehave). If you have an aversion to adult words then I recommend you avoid the "Zombietown" sub-gallery. the rest of the galleries and sub-galleries are pretty tame.
I posted a few photos of attendees under the root and then subdived the galleries thematically into:
CQ-Sac_Board-Games-07 CQ-Sac_Mini-Games-07 CQ-Sac_RPGs-07 CQ-Sac_Staff-07 CQ-Sac_Vendors-07
And then created some sub-galleries as well:
CQ-Sac_Board-Games-07 --CQ-Sac_ASL-2007 --CQ-Sac_B-17_2007 --CQ-Sac_Twilight-Imperium_07
CQ-Sac_Mini-Games-07 --CQ-Sac_40k-Tourney-07 --CQ-Sac_Air-Games-07 --CQ-Sac_Ancients-07 --CQ-Sac_CMGs-07 --CQ-Sac_Monster-Island-07 --CQ-Sac_Naval-WWII-07 --CQ-Sac_Painting-07 --CQ-Sac_Vietnam-07 --CQ-Sac_Westerns-07 --CQ-Sac_WWII_2007 --CQ-Sac_Zombie-Hunter-07 --CQ-Sac_Zombietown-07
CQ-Sac_RPGs-07 --CQ-Sac_Bob-Serenity-07 --CQ-Sac_Capt-Bob-07 --CQ-Sac_Cthulhu-2007 I wanted to also mention that while I volunteer at the ConQuest-Sac-2007 gaming convention, my photos should NOT be considered "official" con photos... just the contribution of one gamer to the community.
I hopefully removed all the photos with particularly unflattering poses (always seem to get a few nostril shots no matter how I try). I also deleted ALL of the photos of "The Future Plumbers of America Club"... they simply have attrocious fashion sense (...totally unlike the average gamer, right?)...
If for any reason, someone has an aversion to a photo (I did ask permission repeatedly all day long), drop me a line and I can remove any offending material,
With that said, I hope that everyone enjoys the photos!
I had a great time at the con and hope that everyone else did too!
Wishing everyone well!
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
P.S. Anyone interested in using photos on their web site or elsewhere is welcome to do so. All I ask is that I be credited as the photographer (even the poor photos!)...

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the posts.
Things are well... getting caught up on sleep after my two big weekends past (trip to DC and gaming convention) so I'm all tuckered out.
I've posted a few times over at my blog and hope to chill out this weekend...
...and get a bit of gaming in!
But I'm a little hampered by my father being sick. It has me worried. I'm going to visit him tonight. Positive vibes to everyone!
Shabbat Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi Everyone,
I just published a new updates with a number of links to books of interest to modern gamers interested in the Arab-Israeli conflict. Specifically, I've mentioned The 1967 Six Day War.
Check them out here:

Maks,
I went to leave you some comments, but for some reason there seems no way to attach a comment to that post. Your previous posts have the link, but not this one???

Nice ! I did't remember that pic of the IDF Tanker with AK, cooling off. I still have and played many times in the past the old Conflict Game "Jerusalem" about the '48 War. It's a great game. With some good back ground note. I believe the designers were assisted by a Vet of the '48 War. I find that the '48, '56 and '67 had an interesting mix of WWII and current equipment. And I always remember the IDF Paras wearing the French type "Lizard" camos. I have an old jacket like that with the the IDF stencil on it. And a French made Bush Hat also with the stencil. I also have a De-miled UZI. It was state of the art for many years, until the H&K MP5. I find the whole history of the Haganah, Palmach, (pardon my spelling !) etc. very interesting.

Others may have found (like I have) that you cant currently leave comments at some Blogs, including Maksim's (and mine for that matter). ?The blog-guys are on the case as they report here
"For a few weeks now, we've been seeing cases of comment links failing to display on posts, despite the correct settings of the blog. For those of you who've reported this issue, you know what I'm talking about. It's as if, all of a sudden, the comment links stopped showing up on your posts and there's nothing you can do to bring them back. "
So if you have some comments for Maksim, save them up and check his blog again soon.
