60cm is far but sustained fire isn't always the best option, even for the guard.

It's a bit confusing to discuss the list in the german and english forum ;-)

Excellent work!  I love what you have done.  It still needs some fine tuning, but a fantastic first step.

I have to agree with Neal, I think that there should be seperate lists representing different doctrines and armies.  This will serve as an excellent base from which to go.

Two things caught my eye:

Sentinels: I love that you have included the different patterns.  But for some reason you have increased the cost on them.  The Armageddon pattern in the Steel Legion list only costs 100 points for 4 while you list them as 150 points.  The Mars and Catachan pattern ones should be 100 also since their weapons are the same effectiveness as a Lascannon.  The Cadia pattern strikes me as expensive at 200 points for 4.  I'd consider 150 points for 4.

Fire support platoons - I love what you have done with these, great concept of being able to pick different weapons.  I don't understand, though, why you have decided to bring down their firepower while maintaining the same price.  Lascannons =/= Autocannons in firepower.  Here is what I had posted in a different thread, I encourage you to use it as a guide for switching weapons.

Otherwise if you wanted to swap weapons, or allow the player to pick one from a list, I'd make sure that what you are allowing / swapping are equal.  Take, for instance, the Imperial Guard Support Squad with 2x Autocannons.  I would have no problem if you wanted to swap the 2x Autocannons (45cm, AP5+/AT6+) with:

3x Lascannon (45cm, AT5+) or
3x Plasma Cannon (30cm, AP4+/AT4+, Slow Fire) or
3x Heavy Flamers (15cm, AP4+, Ignore Cover) or
3x Multi-laser (30cm, AP5+/AT6+) or
1x Multi-melta (15cm, MW5+, FF = MW) and one of the above weapons, or
3x Heavy Bolters (30cm, AP5+) and one of the above weapons, or
1x Lascannon, 1x Plasma Cannon, and 1x Heavy Flamer, or...

If you really wanted to get silly I'd even let you replace the 2x Autocannons with: 6x Storm Bolters (15cm, AP4+)


I also don't understand the special weapons teams, I find it hard to see that doubling the number of units would equal the loss of the Autocannons.

Conscript troops - I ask this out of ignorance, not as a challenge.  Why would conscripts have access to Chimeras?  Shouldn't they be pure foot troops?  I wouldn't think that some Imperial Governor would waste resources, like Chimeras, on low quality troops unless those were the only troops he had.

Otherwise, a great start.  Keep up the good work.

Sentinels:
The Mars Pattern is the same as the Voss prime pattern from the rulebook. Cadia Pattern is better because the Autocannon  as +15cm range in comparison to the Multi-Laser.
Armageddon Pattern gains +15cm too and a better AT value but looses its AP value. I thinkthats evens out thepoints vost.
Catachan Pattern has greatly reduced range, no AT but better AP. Lower the cost for this Sentinels seems obvious to me.

Fire Support Teams:
Autocannon against Lascannon. Again better AT value but no AP value. AT ist considered more precious than AP because of the (mostly) worser to-hit value in comparison to AP vaules.  But thereisno range difference as Mult-Laser toLascannon as with the Sentinels. Perhabs i will change it to "Three Anti Tank units" instead but i wouldn't increase the number of shots per unit.

Special Weapon units:
You don't think double the number of units and thus double the number of FF-attacks is worth loosing a shooting attack? I could go up to 6 units but this will conter too much the company organisation because there are nomore than 2 units per company. Perhabs i will make a separate upgrade out of them. Two units for 50 points perhabs?

Update.
Split Fire Support Platoon and SpecialWeapons Platoon.
Added doctrines for some famous regiments.

Would like to include Leviathan Command Centre as a free swap for the seven Chimeras (stats as same as in the collectors section of the rulebook but without Supreme Commander). Thoughts?

- Reworded Fire Support Platoon Upgrade
- Reworded Commissars Special Rule to Advisors Special rule and reworded it.
- Reworded Independent Commissars doctrine.
- Added Leviathan Command Centre

I'm thinking about removing Inspiring from the Commissar so the Priest makes more sense.
