I am back!
After a month of pure hell. It feels good to be home again. I am never moving again! ? ?
Now, I have to go through and see what I have missed. Anything exciting?

It's good to have you back.
There's almost literally too much that's gone n since you have been gone. I'd go back and read the old threads. Almost every one of them is really good and interesting.

I have had to move quite a few times. Each seems to get worse. I think I am going to have to do it again at some point. I do not look forward to it at all.

Oh they are right.
Moving is a lot more painful, lasts longer, you are awake for the whole thing, and sadly you remember every detail in its gory horribleness.

I dunno, I plan to stay here for a while. I would rather be abducted than move again.
My wife and I have accumulated quite alot of junk. Not just little things either. Considering that we'll have workers in our house over the next month or so just means that I have to look at piles of packed boxes and even worse, my big screen is unusable until the living room gets done!
I may snap!

You get used to it...
I move every 18 months or so with the Navy and you get into a routine when its that often. I've moved across the world twice in addition to lots of within Oz moves. In addition to the disruption to kids schooling, wife employment etc, its the damaged bits and wear and tear and your stuff that annoys me the most. I've got some real veteran minis that have been repaired more times than a real tank could ever be!
Aliens? They dont scare me

Hi!
After a while you do get "used" to moving, especially if you learn all the pitfalls and how to avoid them.
It's still a hassle, but like anything else in life once you get the hand of it, it gets easier each time you do it.
