Anti-boast: I had to replace all of the tires on my Volvo, severly damaging my miniature buying budget.

Bummer. I know the feeling. Do to unexpected costly car repairs, I've had to put a temporary freeze on all mini buying.  :(

Just won 2 squat land train and 4 battle cars with the space marine squat  unit cards for $8.00 plus $7.00 shipping for a total of $15.00.  Not a bad deal I think.

Randomly, I won this eBay auction for a silly low price.

1 complete mekboy gargant
2 mekboy gargant bodies - back only
1 squat gyrocopter

$6 after shipping, which is about half of the pre-shipping price a Mekboy normally goes for.

As it is, I intended to convert several more supastompas (because 3 Kustom Gargants and 3 Supastompas is not enough... :p ).  It's always the head/body combo that causes me the most headaches.  It was almost a perfect mix of bits for what I wanted and it went dirt cheap.

Go figure.

The wheels are already turning on how I can chop that gyrocopter into something cool as well.  First thought is that those engines would look good mounted on the pending Big Kopta conversions for the Blood Axes...

I drive a 1965 Austin Healey Sprite convertable which my wife had secretly resprayed (British Racing Green) for our 10th Anniversary while I was in Iraq.  :D

What a girl eh? Just thought I'd share that with you guys!

As of today I am officially debt free having finished paying the last of almost 50k worth of student loans off over the last 5 years. :D

The down side is that the price of housing in Calgary has... depending on the neighborhood... quite literally doubled to quadrupled in the last three years so even debt free I can't afford to buy a house in the city I grew up in. :(

The condo I lease has gone from $149,500 to $300,000 in less than two years. And given that's still slightly below average for my neighborhood all I can say is the town has gone totally and utterly barking mad.

I once blew up a car. On purpose. It was fun but burning cars are hard to put out.

Hotwire, you MUST post a picture of what 100,000 points looks like.  That would be a grand sight!
