hello

what is your feedback about the loss of the markerlight for the FW. Personnaly i use them less and less because of their lack of flexibility because of this. what about you?

Welcome El Conombre.

I still couldn't playtest the new list but hope to do so in april. I am not a big fan of this change for the moment I must admit. Seems firewarriors now lack flexability and are still not the core troop type you'd want to build an army around. Sure you can get markerlights by adding upgrades to the formation, but it becomes rapidly expensive in my opinion ans not necessarily worth it. Should test it to have a definite opinion tough.

I am sad to see it go as it makes the supposed core troop type less connected to the other units, particularily the armour, even their own IFV's.

It could be balanced, it could work, but for me its lost some of the feel I like the Tau list for.

I am still in two minds about this. On the one hand, I do believe that the current stats (2xAP, no Markers) makes them closer to the background of what these Fire Warriors really are supposed to be. On the other, not being able to guide the missiles from their own transport vehicles does seem a little strange.

I think that the current stats are fine from a 'power' level, giving great firepower, and I dont necessarily think that they are 'weaker' than Pathfinders or other troop types, though.
