Just wondering with all these stuff people make... other than taking photos and then showing them off online... what do you do with them after?

I suppose for those lucky enough to know other epic players, they get to use them in games.

But for others (like myself) what do you do? Do they just get packed away and left to gather dust? Or do you display them?

Which leads me to my second question. I have a glass display cabinet that I sometimes use to display my stuff, as well as a self built office with custom built display cases for epic stuff.... but space is always limited.

How do you build a display piece for your models? I always try and raise part of the platform so the epic pieces at the back are viewable? But its still limited space you can use.

Any ideas how you can save space? Need ideas? The only good idea I have is the one I used for my Assassins, using a ruined building with multiple levels. But this gets boring after the first one.

Well, at the moment my armies are all packed ready to move to France...  but I've been starting to toy with the idea of making display bases for them.  THe problem with this is that some armies I want to expand so they're at least 5000 points... that'll mean a pretty big display base! :O :D

I put mine on a high shelf so Bella can't readily get to them.

All LotR Models in a display cabinet, all BFG models in another display cabinet.

Nina (my daughter) can reach them but doesn't, she occasionally asks if we can play with the spaceships. And I let her, under supervision of course, move around with them.

The Epic minis are at display on a "cat-secure" shelf, next to my 40K army, the Gothic fleet and my collection of 1/72 scale airplanes.
Only problem : I have to dust every week... :p

Mine are usually in my figure cases because I have about 7 different people around who play epic in one form or another.  But when I want to show them off I put them in a display cabinet I bought at a resale shop and fixed up, the only thing I wished I had done was put a mirror back in the display.

Boxed up so they can't be seen and stacked on high shelves because I have a 3-year-old that is positively insane with getting into stuff.

Mine are packed away for storage/easy transportability. I would love to display them, but my wife already nixed that idea.

Mine are packed away as well. I dig them out a couple of times a year but other than that I just watch the pics I take whe I need a fix. Saves more room that way. However I have a disturbing feeling that it also causes me to buy more stuff: If I could actually see and be reminded of how might stuff I already got I'd probably put more restraints on my purchases... although I have certainly done so a lot in recent years since my big splurge 5-6 years ago.

Locked and loaded and ready for rapid deployment :D

I have 16 boxes of epic good to go, each containing anywhere up to 5K of epic.  I just grab the two or three I need for each game plus a box of scenery and throw them in a backpack. I'm happy that I've managed to fit so much epic into so compact a space and that it is so easily transportable.

I have a beautiful big display case with 6 glass shelves and a mirrored back.  As I paint an army it goes on the shelves, and then when it's battle time I pack the particular armyl up in a tackle box....and almost never unpack them again :(.  I have a nice collection of tackle boxes though.

I have all armies made just for gaming purposes and when not in action I have three display cabinets for them. (need one more though...)
