Yep I like number 4 as well.

Unrecoverable failure - sketchup pro cannot export to any format that Solidworks can reliably use.

Hibernate project until better resources available.

Thanks for jogging my memory on this one Otterman.

I finally spoke with the ACAD guys at work and it would appear you need an intermediate program to get export from Sketchup into a format 3d printers can use

They recommended this one:

Autodesk 3ds Max

I'd suggest the 30 day trial version myself to get the format you need...

Again though... thats someone who doesn't know what they're doing (Me) passing stuff on so don't quote me on that sir. :D

Thanks for the suggestion.

On a whim I tried Blender so there may be some success using that as an intermediary.
