I think one of the advantages of 6mm over larger scales is that average painters, like me, can produce armies that look pretty good on the tabletop. 6mm hides my lack of painting skills that would be obvious in 28mm.

Great stuff Ratty ... who are they and who makes'm !? :D ?My buddy surfs Warseer and there are a lot of "Flame-Queens" there. ?Don't mention anything negative about 40K or you'll be "exterminus" ! ?I say, real "enlightened" Gamers are here ! I still get White Dwarf ... and the redone Dark Angels were released ... great molding/sculpting ... HORRIBLE concept !!! Everything They do all look like LoTR with some ranged weapons ... Save for the Tau, Necrons, some IG (?!) ?and maybe the 'Nids ... ?The Tau and Necrons are their only "real" sci-fi ! "Saints & Martyrs" ! ?:blush: ?:D

Now now people. Lets not bait the nice Warseer members.  :;):  They have their opinions too.

For me, scale is a function of form. Certain types of game naturally lend themselves to specific goals, which suggest certain scales. I would not play fantasy games at smaller than 15mm, but I wouldnt play historical games larger than 15mm. Different games, different goals.

Yes, the Tau could be/are Samurai and  Necron - Undead ! :alien: :ghostface:  But they certainly look "Futuristic" vs. the "Others" !  :laugh:  And yes, we are much more easy going and dare I say "mature" than some of those other sites !  :D
