4 Warlords...

Thanks for the help on the warhounds everyone. Now it's time for the big boys...

Two are already set up:
-On left is the first standard setup (two turbo lasers, gatling blaster, volcano cannon).
-Second from left is two gatling blaster and two Multi-launchers (anti-infantry).

Two remaining need carapace weapons:
-Third from left is going to have two volcano cannons and 2 weapons from the slection in front of the titans (so what - any opinions?)
-Right side titan is going to have a volcano cannon and a powerfist (sorry L4 but I I'm going to give one of my 10 Imperials titans a CC weapon!), Once again it will have two carapace weapons from those in front of the titans.

So what carapace weapons should those two on the right get? (Remaining weapons will be used on some traitor titans). If necessary I guess I may convert some weapons...

which weapon fit rules are you going to use? as  they would both need tactical weaponry from the 'core' AMTL list... and from your selection of weapons that would mean melta cannons all round

Um, I haven't really looked at the weapons rules very closely...   :blush:  Kinda assuming they are similar to what they always have been... I imagine short range melta cannons combined with volcano cannons is not a fantastic combo?  What would be ideal? Boring old turbo-lasers?

Actually just looking at the rules I was thinking about it is AM2.11 pdf downloaded from um... E&C on this forum I think.

I better get the AMTL list as well, what number are we up to and where is the most recent version?  :blush:

well all my volcano cannon titans are getting twin rocket pods up top... it allows a slight amount of multi task... and was intended to be used as sheild strippers... darn new hit allocation rules..

as for the metla cannons.... death to any warengine next to you..:S. they would be alright on the assault titan.

I'd probably put two TLDs on the one with the two Volcano Cannons, that gives it a definite tank/war engine hunting role. For the melee one, I'd probably give it two of the Melta Cannons. Against titans this gives it a potent short-range pre-assault (or even in assault, since they're also FF weapons!) fire-power. Plus making it fantastically lethal against infantry in a fire fight (3 melee TK attacks, 8 attacks which can be melee/FF, and 2 FF TK attacks, very nasty all around given you're hitting on 3+s at worst). Unfortunately if you're using the current titan rules you can't fit a Laser Burner on that hull, or I'd recommend one of those, as it would make for a very nice objective-taking titan. Few things which hold objectives want to be assaulted by 8x normal attacks, 3x TK melee attacks and 6x MW ranged attacks (I think that's right).
