Praise the Emperor that I decided to go to order the stuff yesterday.

Do they really, really hire monkeys to type those web pages :D.

A thousand monkeys typing on a thousand typewriters will eventually produce the wonder that is GW  :p  :;):

Damn them to hell.

I put my order in this morning (10 sprues), half an hour later I get a phone call from GW saying there was a 'mistake', my order has been processed but at ?8 each, would I like to still go through with the order?, Oh, yes please.......not!!!.

So, of course I have cancelled that order and I wil get a full refund plus an extra ?5 for the inconvenience, I thought it was too good to be true.

So be warned the rest of you, expect some sort of communication from GW, telling you that your order is now a hell of alot more than you expected.

Apparently the error occured when they were updating the pricing bands. Although on the website it was showing ?1.25, when it was billed it was coming through at ?8, or some such nonsense :confuse:

Well, I'm not up on law, but I thought that if you have something at an advertised price, you have to sell it at that price, regardless if it's wrong or not, anybody know anymore?

I put the order through an independent seller. So I'll see what happens.

Fantasiapelit, by any chance?

I think under UK law they can get away with that and not honour the advertised price on the website.

Even through a third party I doubt they would have to honour it unless they are based outside the UK and have very different rules.

Too bad, I thought the price of 1.30 was actually almost fair for one little plastic sprue.

8 pounds is just like a big sign saying "You're playing the wrong game, don't you wanna quit already?" :p

So ?8 comes out to around $15 US, right?  Why are these items three times the price of the same item in the US?

Actually, I would question that. If you look at the last part of that link...

If you order goods, and later the shop says the price has gone up, you should only have to pay the price you saw when you ordered, unless you were told there might be an increase.

I think that online counts as a catalogue order...
