I'm wondering about the new epic drop-pods. Cant remember who, but someone had a marine next to it and it seemed correctly scaled....

now I want a drop pod for my dreadnought... but I presume that the dreadnought is not scaled to fit inside the drop-pod.

So I'm thinking of making my own, but my first structures for it makes it seem really big... it actually stands up to the height of a warlord's head.

What do people think? scale it down? or just go with a GW drop-pod?

Well, technically the drop pods aren't really drop pods.  They are the deathwind pods that provide covering fire for the marines as they jump out of the not-represented pods.

I was mulling over using paper models for the actual drop pods (since you would need one for every stand and that would get expensive in metal), that way the SMs could have something a bit more tangible to work with.  They could also claim cover modifiers by hiding behind the pods, or hide within the pod but risk being killed when the pod is targeted (they have armor values, after all).

Anyway, I digresss.  Here is a link for the drop pods I printed out.  They look good and are cheap.

Drop Pods and other paper models Just scale them to fit roughly on square/rectangular stand, or -in your case- a Dreadnaught.

Personally I would think that, like most SG craft, they are a little small.
Not a great pic but you might find it useful
