I am comissioning an epic-scale figure and I was wondering what bitz would you like to see?  Here are my thoughts:

1. ruined brick wall
2. plates with rivets
3. sandbags
4. trenchline
5. ???

No ETA on the figure but I will let you know what comes of this project.  We are still working out the manufacturing details.

Thanks,

TrademasterAdam

1. Most of us have lots of mini ruins from the E40k strip bases.
2. Easy to make from aluminium (foil, cans)
3. Easy to make with puty.
4. Starting to talk now.
5. ?

- Welded iron girder tank traps (Giants caltrops :)),
- Barbed wire
- Tank scrape
- Ammo dump

Don't laugh, but I made mine from old metal toy Jacks.

cybershadow look into some z-sclae train models. not too sci-fi but you can get all kinds of trucks and cars.

1) Actually, I would like an unruined brick wall of the proportions used by Forge World. I have bought all scales of brick styrene from Plastruct, and none are the exact match.

2) As stated earlier, simple versions of these can be made with pounce wheel. Alternatively, I can help with this by using my super-tiny augmentable trick and cast strips of pre-riveted plate in higher detail.

3) I'm not good at sculpting sand bags, so this is good.

4) This is good.

5) Ordnance and fuel piles - fuel tanks, shells, rockets for mankind and the Orks.

This is just for fun for now.  I haven't seen much in the way of new epic figs (except exodus) and I wanted to give it a shot.

No particular race or range, the first figure will be human infantry and I had some spare room so if anyone had any ideas for bitz, I'm all ears.

I like the crates idea, anyone have any other ideas?

Ammo pieces for Artillery, Pillboxes, Industrial accessories like assembly lines, girder constructions and stuff like that.

We have lots of building ruins....but no pile of building material that was made when the building was wrecked...that'd be cool too.

Hi Adam,

I would really love to see architectural accessories such as:

Industrial Bitz: manufacturing assembly lines, girder construction, pipe mazes, pipes to mount on building sides, generators, cranes, and stuff like that. (Think of items you could find in an industrial yard, on a factory or inside a large wharehouse.)

Dockside Bitz: bollards, dock cranes, trains, ferry buildings, piles of anchors, guard posts for gates, shipping containers, liquid gas storage, etc. (think of items found where there are shipping ports.)

Streetside Bitz: fire plugs, dumpsters, trash cans, streetside fire access pipes, street lighting, mail boxes, telephone booths, kiosks, vending machines, etc. (Think of items found on streets, by the sides of buildings or otherwise out in the open.)

Ruins Bitz: couches, big screen TVs, chairs, tables, broken junk, office furniture, etc. (think of what's visible when the roof gets blown off the side of a house... or what you can see from the collpased side of an apartment building.)

Civilian Automobiles: Four-doors, sedans, compacts, limos, pick-ups, 4x4's, trucks, big rigs, etc. (The military aren't the only ones who HAD transport! 40k-themed civvie vehicles could be interesting.)

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi Iain,

I have writtena bout this before and have a folder for 6mm Autoduel AKA Car Wars at "6mm_Minis."

Here are a few choices off of the top of my head:

Wheeled civvie vehicles:
- Architectural display models
- Brigade
- C & C Pfc.
- Formula De
- GHQ
- Irregular
- Reviresco
- Scotia
- SJG OGRE
- Z-scale RR

Grav civvie vehicles:
- GZG

However, due to the lack of minis intentionally meant for
use as 6mm dray, you have to get a bit inventive at times... scratchbuilding is almost necessary.

Most small tech bitz will look sufficiently futuristic if you mount a few tires on them. You can often buy spare tires from a company like C&C Pfc. and then mount them on spare 28mm sci-fi equipment.

I have photos of many of the makes at my photobucket.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Oh Yeah !  Something that looks like a 6mm Hammer's Slammers M9 Combat Car and maybe even an M2 "Blower" URSA MBT ! :) (Or we'll have to use GZG's Hammer GEV MBT !)  :D
