I think these must be ?my favourite EW models to date. Although they still need the basing and touching up on a few minor details I think you must agree:

BOOOORN TO BE WIIIIILD!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

I love these! If I had any doubt about wanting to buy them, I don't anymore.  :D

And now for something completely different...

Progres on the Zeppelin: I've begun adding armor plating to the underside of the beast. This is proving more tricky than I expected due to the many slight curves on the model. Still I've quite hapy with the result so far. I stil haven't quite figured out how to built the gondola but I guess I'll end up making something from plasticard...

I must admit that I'm a BIG fan of this project, but I'm guessing that come sas no suprise to anybody! ?:p Having played with a few airships over the last few year or two, I would make a few observations, if I may...

Hull Plating: it looks great! ?the aft control surface would be particulalry vulnerable too. ?I also guess that as a DoK vessel, it spoend much of its time conducting bombardment, therefore the whole of the underbelly would be plated. ?Given that there is only so much lift available that is probably at the expence of plating on the sies and top. ?thn again it probably has its own fighter squadron assigned as CAP too.

Gondola - why stop at one? ?Such a beast could have several! A forward Command/Bridge and Artillery Spotting platform, the main gunnery deck, bomb compartments (attached directly to the hull) plus flak batteries as well. ?There should be a few batteries on the Upperworks as well to prevent MASSIVE blind spots. ?A tail gunner like a WW2 Bomber would be a nice touch too!

Great stuff WMN!
Cant wait to see this one progress! ?:D

Oooh! All great suggestions Tas. Will definitely have to try out a few of them :;):

Chaos minis almost ready as well. I just need to paint up the Cultists stands. I still haven't quite decided for a color scheme. I think pure black woulkd be too dull considering that there's already a bunch of Black Legion CSMs. Maybe something purpleish or blueish for a Tzeentch cult?

How the hell did I miss this thread for so long?!?! Stupid thesis writing!!

Amazing work again WMN... looks like the squats are definitely on the way back with all these awesome EW minis :)  Fantastic character to the bikers!

Also good to see that the Chaos sprue is actually going to be released Feb... (though I guess there is still a month for GW to screw it up... :D)

I think the APC could use another pair of wheels to support the overhang in the rear or I can't imagine how it stays balanced.  ???

Other than that it's a nice model and the bikes _really_ are superb.

I wondered about the overhang bit on the APC too - anyone know what the design thoughts on this were?

I think some other basing technique might suit the bikers better... 20x40mm or 20mm square and two per base maybe. All my bikes and cav are on 20x40 bases, but I still don't feel too happy with them like that... they look too regimented or something. ?Anyone have any good ideas on how to base bikes to give an awesome 'bikey swarm' look?  :D

I mounted my bikes in 1 model on 1p pieces
(I kept some from the UK just for that reason)

I would be tempted to chop off the rear tail (obviously there to stop the vehicle flipping over when accelerating at high speeds! ?:;): ?), and add a rear access door.

I have a few 1p coins if people are interested... a bag of 50 for the bargain price of one pound! ????

What I will do for my EA Cult bikers, to give a more 'massed' feel, is to mount them facing the short edge, in a line with (in this case) three. The bikes should seem closer together based this way.
