Yep- doing a PhD on radar remote sensing for offshore wind resource estimation.  Really interesting, but im much further behind than I would have wanted to be at the start.

Wow, that's great - I worked on remote sensing in the job before the current one, but was more into visible to infra red range of stuff. Touched microwave radiometery, but never actually used the equipment on a flight.
So - good luck to you, and to Lord Inquisitor too!

And I missed V for Vendetta too...  :(

The local video shop has had Daywatch for quite a while as an import, but I'm holding out that the local arts cinema will be showing it! I wasn't bothered by the ending to Nightwatch (but then I knew it was part of a trilogy before I saw it)...

But yeah - here's hoping Daywatch will be better! EDIT: looks like a proper release will be in the summer, both UK and US...
