Battlefleet Gothic Rulebook
Here is a last bit of news before I disappear for Christmas.
The new and updated Battlefleet Gothic ?blue? books will be on sale in Hobby Centres and from Games Workshop Direct early in the new year. These books will replace the BFG boxed game as the system?s core product.
The new book is very similar to its previous incarnation but it has a thicker cover, as it has to survive without the game box, and has the updated ?BFG 1.5? rules set. Our online rulebook will be updated to mirror the new rulebook in January. Of course all the game components and reference sheets you need can be downloaded free from BFG Player Aids section of our website and the Imperial and Chaos plastic cruisers sets will remain available from Games Workshop Direct.
On a more general note ? the website will remain live and the forums open throughout the Christmas and New Year period. There will be no more updates until early January. So all that remains is to wish everybody a very merry Christmas and to have a very good new year.
Until 2007 ? cheers!
For now, Andy @ Fanatic
Sadly no sneak peaks on the changes we want. So ready your printers and purse. [ ]
Merry Christmas

Great news. I will certainly be picking up a fresh copy - got to send the right message to SG! Hopefully, this will reinvigour BFG as a game.

What do you mean by the value of the game box disappearing?

I think that this is a reference to the fact that the current boxed set is excellent value, with cruisers and counters and other bits. Selling the book as stand alone will make it retail at 20-30 pounds (UK), and then you need a couple of boxes of cruisers for two sides.

Spot on CS. I wonder if it might be an idea to pick up a box even if the rules are already out of date and then go for a print out when they appear on-line. Hmmmmm, Christmas hmmmmm.

I don't have any money either.
I do have an overdraft that winks at me eerily from time to time though. Suspiciously it's everytime I think of buying something...
