Nice Mech 'V'
So an orky trak section but what was that sitting on top? it looks familiar but I can't place it....a dread body perhaps.

The tracks are go; the top is the turret of a plasticky/rubbery AFV, a large 6-wheeled armoured car with the turret with two gatling-type guns on top. I just turned it on its end, rotated the barrels, chopped off their ends and drilled them, and glued the whole onto the tracks. And added 2 bits of plasticard. I don't really know what the AFV was - it had been sent to me by Dafrca many moons ago.  :D

Bit of a rush job, really...

One for the Orks.
This is a Deathskull tank. Although my main Ork forces anre Blood Axes and Bad Moonz, I'm planning to have small contingents of all the other clans, with a small force of Deathskull tanks lead by a Megagargant, some Goff troops and tanks with a rather special Gargant (watch this space!), Evil Sunz with some bikes and buggies and extra added Meks, and the Snakebites claiming all Wildboyz, Squiggoths, catapults, and the giant.
I only washed and drybrushed this second hand tank, obtained already painted from Dingodv.   :D

I'd promised Cuban Commissar a cheap and easy tank paint scheme some weeks ago, so here's (belatedly) my first Berlin Blood Axe tank - 'Berlin' because it's very loosely based on British tanks scheme used in Berlin in the Cold War (well, it's blocky, anyway  :p ).
White undercoat, black track followed by a suitable metal colour; blue batches; metal on engine details; chestnut wash all over; drybrush with a sand colour.  Writing this down took longer than painting it - barring the drying time for the wash  :p

Hi John,

No worries, mate. Rome wasn't built in a day. :)

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

True, but you'd expect a single 6mm scale chariot - er - tank to be painted in less than 6 weeks - especially if I'm trying to demonstrate a quick-paint scheme!  :p

By the way, f you coat the white undercoat with sand and apply brick red  or olive or grey, you get a more typical camo colour scheme - but thin down the wash in this case.

Once more unto the breach. Most of the action is currently PhD-oriented - and there's the tale of tac wargamers Aeronef. but I couldn't resiststarting to work on a little gem I bought from B'ham - a Wolfhound Mech. What's this, I hear? Vanvlak going into Battletech? A Mecha?!? ??? Stay tuned!

Meanwhile - I found in the post a Bandai 1:2400 kit of a  spaceship sent to me by L-4. Here it is:
Zangibal (?) ship    :D
Big problem here - I have at least 3 different armies in as many different games/universes all claiming it!  :p Ah well, deciding is part of the fun. Thanks L-4.

Rather than beginning a new thread, I resuscitated this old relic for posting my odds and ends. Interestingly, I had to select the look back to 'the beginning' option to find this thread. Feeling positively archaic!

Anyway, I once again began the useful, if never long-lasting, policy of working on whichever models are cluttering up the workspace. At least this time round I didn;t waste time counting them.

So - first off - a few dwarfs and other stuff waiting just for a spray of varnish. You've seen the green tanks and Exocrine, and the Plaguebearers and the Fleshhounds, and the Command Horizon heavy tank, but not the dwarfs (I think!) in their stone-transformed colours. Here's a sample.

Next - my first 40K 28mm scale Polar Warrior SM. these guys' tanks will be sand and blue (basing on the suggestions arising from the poll I'd held months ago). They look a lot like dirty Ultramarines.

Finally, something I'm pleased with - but the pic is poor. Will retake if I have the time. A Confrontation miniature - these things just paint themselves!
