ok guys I'm looking for comments and suggestions. ?
I have been day dreming today about the ork battleship I have decided to kitbash. ?
Now for varied reasons, like tweaking the BSG stats, my fleet will be light in carrier strength. ?
So I wanted a ordnance heavy battleship. ?Something like the Imperial Emperor Class.
I think I can take two approaches to this.
1. ?Have a huge maw at the front prow of the ship to represent the massive launch bay. ?aka Space Marine Battle Barge.
2. Or...there is a story to this one...
I wanted to add a huge lance type weapon to my Deathdealer Battlecruiser on the wing ports. ?I really wanted to use the wing weapons found on the terror ship. ?The big barrels that stick out of the launch bays. ?
Since you can't order specialist games bits (Up yours GW on that one...forgive my outburst). ?I was comtemplating what to do with the hulks of two Terror ships once I ordered them just to get the wing tips.
So my brain was hurting when the little light bulb went off. ?What if I use the Terror ship hulls as the side hulls on a larger battleship. ?The prow of the Terror ship a great hamger opening and I could put one on each side, aka Battlestar Galataic

So my one concern is that it would be a little over the top and...The game gods forgive me for saying this when talking about an ork conversion..."Clumsy"
While I'm not a photo expert I did pout this compiste photo togethor to get an idea of the dimensions.

3. ?The third option of course is to keep the hangers on the side but make them more low key. aka modern Battlestar Galactical

So please let me know what you think. ?I wanna here the Yeas or Nays on options 1,2, or 3
Thanks
Here is the side view of the potential kitbash

Hi CC, you raise the stakes here! I was feeling smug when I saw the thread, thinking, right, I'll suggest the catamaran solution. And then you plumped the trimaran before I had time to think'Squig juice!' So: 1 - it looks like a shoal of fish - and by that I mean 2 - it's something the orks would do - that is, weld three hulls together just to have a bigger an' beffer ship. 3 - it's big!
A couple of words of caution - don't choose a complex paint scheme - painting the region between the hulls will be a pain. And plan the base well. And pin them together, or at least clear a large, flat contact surface for gluing them. As a suggestion - old docks used to have long struts propping up a ship upright; and in joining the hulls, the orks would've used a huge pile of beams to keep the ships in place whilst the welderz are done. To add to the conversion, you could (if you like the idea, of course) glue a few struts between the hulls - knowing the orks, they'd leave them there to make it extra-strong! Would help hold things together too. Anyway - looking forward to seeing the Battlestar Galorktika

Good advice there V.
My current plan is the scratch build the center hull. If that fails I can always use the battlecruiser.
