Don't know how well it would work, but to give the impression of multiple barrels on that Reaper autocannon you could take the edge of a file and score some grooves along the length.  That way when you paint it with a dark wash the lines would stand out and look like the space between barrels.  I'd definitely try it on a piece of scrap stock first.

That is actually my bad cameramanship (I love making up words).  The picture is a bit too bright, but their are two barrels to the RAC.  It is made from two 1mm dia plastic rods.  So if I paint it well they double barrel effect should show up.

I was going to paint up my first stand tonight. ?Alas I didn't have the colour paint I wanted, so I need to wait for GW to open tomorrow.


So instead I finished making the last 8 termies. ?The first 4 are assault cannon weilding nuts, just like the first2, so no pictures.

next up are 3 with storm shields

Number 1 with a large pointed sword


Number 2 has a slashing sword, again over large


Number 3 has an uge axe


Finally is the first company captain. ?I am going to give him a cloak, I think, but I need his hands to dry first

Well I have done all I can for painting this first batch of boyz. ?I still haven't given them a chapter symbol, but I'm still working on it.

First of the painted ones is the eagles claw


His armour is actuially a 50:50 mix of blood red and scab red, but looks blood red.

Next are the assault cannon boys, all 6 of them


Thirdly we have the Reaper autocannon and heavy flamer


The resessed inks brring out the barrels of the reaper (and the assault cannons)

Fourth up is the chapter master and friends


the chapter master is the one with the two swords and a cloak (out of picture)

Finally we have the assault termies.


Their shields were a pain in the arse to paint, but I wanted to prove that I could atleast try.
