Thanks for the size - a BFG ship gun mounted on a land carriage - good idea ?:D ?

Kinda scary, isn't it?

Call it Ordinatus Annihilatus, it removes everything within 60cm of the point of impact, including forests and buildings.  The only terrain left on the board is hills.  Every unit within 90cm of ground zero takes its starting DC in TK4+ (TK1) hits, and units between 90cm and 120cm takes it's starting DC in MW4+ hits.  7.5cm from ground zero becomes a large, highly radioactive crater (impassable terrain 15cm in diameter), and 30cm from ground zero becomes impassable to all infantry outside of vehicles.
Do I win, or do I really have to build the beast?

Guess..... :p
Ugh.  Well, there goes another $200 for a model that I could never use in a game.  Those carriages are almost big enough to be Ordinatus in 40k scale, and you want me to build it for Epic? :p
But remember guys, for the classy stuff, you want people like Krooza and Warmaster Nice - and I'm not starting on the sculptors! I just do weird.
Maybe so, but your weird stuff looks better tham my serious stuff!

:D
And then I'll have to go and get a bucket for my one-up response.
:p
Speaking of which, I have been a bit too restrained in my part in this arms drive - blasted work - but I'll try to scrape up something.
Lion, you're too kind with your comments. Would that include my infamous Tzeentchian hula dancer?
:p

Well, steering things back to the model-focus of this thread  :p I've been working on my 'Big Gun', which will be an objective for my current Epic army I'm working on.

In the top of the picture is the first stage of the transport/mount of the gun.  I used a SM era Land Raider (turned upside down), a plastic Rhino, and carefully cut the sides off a E40k era plastic Whirlwind to make the top of the hull

The bottom part of the picture was taken after the gun was attached - I used parts from 4 40k Chaos Space Marine Boltguns, and a Chaos Combi-bolter, to make the mount for the gun.  If you lok at it from behind or dead-on you can see that it's a bit askew  ??? but I think the over-all effect is fine!  Also, I shortened the length of the plastic rod end of the gun a bit, I thought it looked too long to be honest...

Finally, the 'mouth' of the gun was added, suggesting the aliegiance of this vehicle is not with the Imperials...

...and here it is, the (90%) finished article: ?a 'Super-Siege Gun' for my Epic Iron Warriors. ?IT needs a couple more embellishments, including 'claws' at the back to coutner the gun's recoil, which I'm making from Ork Battle-wagon parts...

If I was to do rules for it, I think the main gun would be Rng: 180cm, 2BP, MW5+ (Slow firing); it would be a War Machine with Spd 15cm, Armour 4+, FF 4+, CC6+, DC 2; and 2 Twin-linked Reaper Cannons. ?On a critical, it would be destroyed as it's ammunition cache ignites.

But for the time-being I'll just use it as an objective for Tourney purposes - if I wanted to make it a unit for game-usage, seeing as it's Iron Warriors - and I'm a fluff-slave ?:;): ?I'd have to make another two; afterall, any Iron Warriors player will tell you the units have to be in multiples of 3... ?:D

Not to downplay the work of Krooza or WMN (which is astounding in both cases), but when it comes to Epic, weird is the "norm".  The more outlandish, the better!

You're style is just as awe inspiring.

Thanks for positive comments, Lads! :D

Believe me, Vanvlak, I'd love to make another two... it means getting another two Plastic Titan Volcano Cannons (I asume that's the part I used!), another couple of Plastic SM-era Land Raiders, and another plastic Whirlwind...

On the other hand... I feel a trade might becoming on... ha!

And as for painting... there's my other EpiComp entry(ies) to finish first...

Believe me Firestorm, the worst is yet to come - in the Epicomp. Even I'm hesitating to present it!  :p
