NOTE: This List was Edited on 9/24/06. The only changes to the list were adding Walker to the Zoanthrope, Correcting the TL VC on the Venomspitter to AP 4+/AT 5+, and combining the Large Warp Blast and Smite on the Dominatrix into the Bio-Titan Warp Blast.

Hamman?s World Phase IV ?Subdual? Tyranid Infestation (7.1 WIP 9/24/06)
Subdual Tyranid Infestation armies have a Strategy Rating of 1. All Subdual Swarms have an initiative of 2+.


SYNAPSE CREATURE GROUPS
(up to 1/3 of the armies points may be spent on these groups)
Hive Group: 1 Dominatrix unit 400 points (Spawning rate, 2d3+2)
Strike Group: 1 Vituperator unit 325 points (Spawning rate, 1d3+1)
Harassment Group: 1 Harridan unit 225 points (Spawning rate, 1d3)
Nexus Group: 1 Hive Tyrant unit and 2 Tyranid Warrior units 200 points (Spawning rate, 1d3+2)

Currently they are not.

I wouldn't be adverse to a change to that, or even giving them the Jump Pack ability.

Great job epilgrim,

Juist noticed one thing -  the use of spores - I thought it had been decided that the spore would be committed AFTER rally (spawn) test not before. Your Word document states the following.....

"? add +1D3 spawning points by sacrificing ONE mycetic spore to the swarm during the Spawning Action, before the Rally test "

Lightbringer,

To the best of my ability the list rules are edited for spelling and grammar.

Where I made changes to enhance readability or clarify the intent of the rules as I understand them to be intended, they should appear as highlighteded in blue text. I did this to make any correction as easy as possible.

If any changes are needed, such as the Mcyetic Spore rule you pointed out, let it be discussed. As I remeber the thread discussion, the intent was to obligate the Tyranid player to commit the Mycetic Spore before the rally test. Seeing how this roll can never be worse than a 3+ (for enemy within 30cm) this seems to be a small element of risk.

The single largest change I made was to the flame template rule. the text is based on a lot of discussion and has been sent to the ERC.

All comment is welcome and all corrections will be updated as they are resolved. As for the name of the list, I am not responsible for the list  :)  I'm just trying to help!

The list of modifications isn't just mine, it's had input from every active forum member here (Including yourself Hena).
It's more a consensus thing with my lose guiding hand than my personal vision for the Tyranid list (I'd remove the Vituraptor & Hydraphant for a start lol).

Has anyone actually modeled a Vituperator?

Not as far as I know. I've never seen someone playtest one either. It's the bad idea noone talks about...
