Well after getting a campaigne map and rules of CS quite some time ago, we that is Orton and myself are about to embark on a campaigne. So I thought I would post here so you can see how the forces of good and evil fair. I will also be posting Batreps of our game.

Background

? ? Hydra Xylen is a Weapons Testing Facility in the Hydra Cordatus region SW of the Eye of Terror. The facility is owned and operated by the Adeptus Macanicus and as such the wolrd is home to some Tech Guard units and one Titan Legion. It is believed that these forces are at present under strenght due to calls to reinforce the Cadian Gate.
    The planet is rumored to be the location of an Eldar Webway Portal and that there is lost STC technology burried beneth the planet surface.
     Hydra Xylen is a self sufficient world maintaining continents dedicated to the production and testing of Weapons, and some agri world standard farming facilities. The main continent Magna Four is a split continent maintaining a highly developed industrial area in its east, with an agricultutral region in the west. The continent has a number of major cites and two space ports.
? ? There have been recent sightings by Rogue Trader and AM ships of Chaos Warships moving in and out of the system. The AM Arch Magi controlling Hydra Xylen dispatched a call for aid to Mars and High Terra, fearing an invasion of Hydra Xylen by Chaos forces to secure technology currently being tested on the world.

Recent Events

? ?Four days ago the major spaceport in the east of the main continent, Magna Four, was seized by a strike force of Iron Warriors and Thousand Sons Chaos Marines. All comunication with the spaceport has been lost and it is feraed that these forces have taken control of a Titan repair facility located near the spaceport. Orbital sensors and imagery confirms the presence of further Chaos forces located on the continent centre and south.
? ? Two days ago a strike team from the Blood Ravens Space Marines assaulted a drop zone controlled by the Thousand Sons west of the space port. This appears to be the lead elements of a larger force which is still moving in from the outer system limits.

Breaking News

? ?Comunications from a Space Marine Fleet arriving in orbit indicate that a strike force of Space Marines, Imperial Guard and a Demi Legio of a Titan Legion are perparing to retake the space port.

Each Battlegroup consist of a 5000 point army with a Vanguard and Main Force. Currently the Marines remain off board and require the use of the space port to bring forces onto the board. ?At approximately 1900h local time it is estimated that 3000 points of Titan Legion supported by Imperial Navy will strike East from Grid 93 and commence an attack on the space port. At 1930h 7000 points of Blood Ravens will planetfall to secure the space port and force the Iron Warriors and Thousand Sons out of the repair facilities.

Looks amazing, though you must be nuts to play games of that size.  I have real difficulty finishing a 2500 point game in a night!!

They are Avatars from different forums. Some are from WargamerAU, some are from GW site simply reduced using MS Powerpoint. PM if you want the collection MP.

Inspired by Chroma and the fact that Geoff (Orton) has the notebook with Turn One in it I will post a couple of picks and my army list.
    We started out playing 10,000 points a side, looking at what I have, it doesn't look like much. A couple of things about the way we play. We enjoy most experimental rules and list changes and most of our games including this one use those changes. So to the marines.
