I was wondering what did people have planned to enter the design a titan compitiion, but either never got round to making it or thought it up too late.  This includes secondary ideas or even (and I'm looking at the enginseers here) tertiary ideas.

I'll go first (It is my thread I can do waht I want  :D )

Stormfront variant warlord
Replaces the carapce weapons of a warlord titan with as many FW hydra turrets as I would of been able to fit on it. (so it only has two weapon slots to fill)

Designed as a response to xenos races (I'm looking at the Tau and Eldar here) who use an excessive amount of air power.

Other specail rules.  If it has a legate it counts as having a carapce landing pad.  Due to the hydra ammo not taking up so much space, so they can fit better electronics.  With some fluff about how they are used as command titans

Gargant variant with a huge "deth rolla" made with rotating chains.  Picture one of the WWII era minesweepers that used chains to slap the ground in front of them and you'll have an idea of what I had in mind.

It would have had a skid plate of sorts to protect the body of the gargant, almost like a giant fender.  The result would have been that the chains were pulled up and forward, dragging dirt and debris with them and then shooting out the front throwing an arc of rocks, dust, and everythign else.

I have background for a warboss and the mek he commissioned the gargant from after his first gargant was destroyed by an Imperial Reaver titan.  Rules would have included a First Strike FF weapon (the hail of rocks and debris) and some additional mekboy gewgaws for extra defense against those sneaky umie titans.

I was building a Khorne warlord titan with custom built doomfist (as on the Banelord), scratchbuilt energy whip and two scratchbuilt deathstorm cannons. The energy whip is about half finished, and I think I'll convert two gatling blasters for carapace weapons, or scratchbuild a hellstorm missile rack. I wanted to bring in some rules for the energy whip!

I'm also working on a long lost super secret chaos titan project...

No Entry, but I did have an idea once for a command titan that included large sat dishes etc in place of the carapace weapons.

Just a thought.

I was thinking along the lines of a pair of Revenants armed with powerfists. The background being that they were originally used in mega construction projects and as the fall came closer converted to massive dancers giving displays to whole cities.

Also I've always wanted revenants to have powerfists, but it has always made them too powerful.

Well, since the deadline has come to pass, I'll let you guys know what I submitted since more than likely they won't win...

I submitted pictures of three Phantom titans I did up some time ago, all done with WH40K Eldar Wraithlord (dreadnought for us old guys) arms/weapons.

One of them has 2 powerfists.  To make them proportional to the titan and the original powerfist I cut them partway down the upper arms, and then filed the cut end so as to make the peg that would go into the shoulder hole.

The second one has the WH40K missile launcher mounted in the right arm location and called it a Heavy Missile Launcher.  A Bright Lance (Eldar lascannon) is mounted in the left arm location and called it a Brilliant Lance.  Since the WH40K weapons have to be mounted upside down to make the mating to the shoulders look normal I had to cut the bright lance barrel, rotate it 180 degrees so that the muzzle cowling would look right with the extended point at the top, and remount it.

The third Phantom has the old rotary cannon 6 barreled Scatter Laser (I love that bit, it was soooo pretty), mounted upside down in the right arm location and called it a Hurricane Laser.  There is a Star Cannon(?) in the left arm location and it is called a Nova Lance.

Weapon Range Firepower Notes
Brilliant Lance 90cm MW2+ Titan Killer (D6)
Brilliant Lance (alt) 120cm MW2+ Titan Killer (D3)
H. Missile Launcher 90cm MW3+/AA3+
Hurricane Laser 90cm 6x AP5+/AT5+ Pulse
Hurricane Laser (alt)45cm 6x AP4+/AT4+ Pulse
Nova Lance 60cm 3x MW3+
Power Fist (alt) 30cm 3x MW4+
OR (15cm) Small Arms Extra Attacks (+2), Macro Weapon
OR (Base Contact) Assault Weapons Extra Attacks (+2), Titan Killer (D3)

I was going to enter a Tyranid hunter warlord. ?Background was it's legion suffered heavily at the hands of Behemouth Hive Fleet as they didn''t have any specialist hand to hand titans and as such were ripped apart by bio titans.

I was going to equip it with a modified power claw (with chain saws for the claws), that was one arm weapon and a power fist for the other, this would allow a grab and cut attack to try and decapitate Tyranid bio titans.

The carapace points would have been fitted with twin linked lase burners to inflict massive amounts of wounds on bio titans. ? This would be centre mounted above the head.

It would also of had a jump pack equivalent mounted on the carapace. ?This was to increase it's movement and allow it to hunt down the bio titans efficiently.

The head would also be a specialist combat head with a chain saw sticking out the mouth. ?

Highly specialised close combat monster.

:) Scary that's my 666 post  :)

Great idea for a Warlord.

Shouldn't post #666 have been about Chaos?  :D

LOL yeah I suppose so!

I think the titan would be easier to create rules for in NetEpic rather than E:A so that's why I left it alone.

Looking forward to seeing the results for this comp though, expect a high standard with the amount of people from these boards who have entered.

*phew 667!*  :D

If I had the time, I was going to convert two of the old Eldar Phantom Titans into a quadruped along the lines of a Bright Stallion.

And I don't think it would have been all that hard! ?I'd have to fabricate a body and hooves, and saw through the knees and hips to pose the legs, but the torso and head could be used without modification.
