Hi Guys,

I'm pretty happy as well... happy enough that I'm up at what is roughly 3:00am, my local time.

It seems so sudden that I've gone from struggling to having a relatively secure future... all, really in the period of roughly a week. Yesterday, I had the distinct pleasure of ending my employment with the temp agency... and after having been hired to start a relatively well-paying ($20.00 USD an hour) copy editor job. Surprisingly, the head of the temp agency sincerely wished me well... wasn't expecting that since the company was somewhat petty and mercenary at times. It was nice to see human nature not at its worst.

I took advantage of the change in fortune to buy two shelves for my apartment that I've been wanting for ages... I took down my belongings from my old shelves and assembled the new ones yesterday. Then I had to laboriously transfer my books and modelling supplies from their spaces on the floor to the new shelves. I've always relished the feeling of competent organization that comes from using space efficiently. The old shelves will go to my sister and her children, who would already love them and hesitated, for not even a second, when I offered them.

I'm also on the second book of David Brin's second Uplift trilogy series... a very good series when you get past the first couple of chapters. I'm on the second book now (So, really the 5th book in the second of the two trilogies), which is gradually getting better and better... looking forward to reaching the third book.

I'm also nearly done with drafting out the table layout and space needs for ConQuest-SF, a gaming convention where I volunteer and run a good part of the vents. With all of the job applications, interviews amd whatnots I've had lately, I've fallen behind on those chores and the con is next week!

Hi Guys,

Sorry about the recent quiet. I'm already VERY busy... generating charts, research, writing, translations, etc. Two days on and I'm already generating materials for the board.

And that's without the training... several hundred pages of legal regulations, contracts, training manuals, etc.

And I have a gaming convention area (ConQuest SF) ?:cool: to run this weekend...

And I'm packing some minis trades and gove-aways for several local members...

In addition to keeping up my exercise (the reps class yesterday was brutal)... ?

And having my new love interest rapidly turn into a girlfriend (it's been a few months at this point)...

So, I'm a little stressed, but very excited too! I never imagined my fortunes changing so quickly.

And my name must have finally gotten out because I had three calls on my home machine yesterday from other State agnecies that wanted to interview me as one of their lead candidates for their job openings. I'll have to call them back and turn them down.

Life can certainly be strange and thank goodness for it.
