Latest word on Chaos is that Andy was attempting to round up moulds for re-release.  Target time frame seemed to be the Feb 07 SG release but I've not heard anything about how his progress has been for several months.

I actually think that we will see these as a partial release. My prediction is that the old sprues will make it out, along with the 'extras' that we were ready for E40K released but never made it, and some of the original metals (Rhino etc, but probably not the Daemon Engines). Beyond that, I dont think that we will see a whole lot more.

However, I do think that we should keep in mind that if Chaos gets even a partial release, it is because Andy has worked really hard for us. No-one else in GW/SG is on the case and I am sure that Andy has an uphill battle convincing the suits that it is worth making these things available.

I'd be happy with it, too. When it was first released, I almost bought the Blood Reavers boxed set, but I balked at the price (I believe it was $60 USD), which seemed to me a bit high for a bunch of plastic. Had my foresight been better at that time...

Hi!

You'd think they'd throw us a bone. As things are I'd be happen if ANYTHING got release. So I'd take a partial release with a smiling face.

It did have metal Chaos Landraiders, predators and rhinos I believe. And only two chaos infantry sprues  ???

I got dozens of epic 40k infantry sprues during the golden era just before Epic Armageddon, when they were rereleased for just 1.5 pounds each!!! So did a lot of my mates.  Plastic Gold.  :D

I wish I had been starting my Chaos army back then. Instead of now.  :(

OTOH I bought enough marines to last me a lifetime and some Exodites as well...  :;):

It did indeed have a blister of Land Raiders, one of Predators and two or three of Rhinos, as well as the two infantry sprues. I still have this box with the troops on sprues and the blisters unopened!

I also picked up as many Chaos sprues in the fall of E40K and one pound fifty each. I dont have many of the matals (one of the few holes in my collection, along with Tyranids) but since I never really liked the metal Chaos stuff (or Tyranid much) and very much preferred the plastic sprues, I am not so bothered.

You're right, it did. I had forgotten about that. In any case, I thought it was overpriced and that's why I never bought it. And I missed out on the big clearance sales for E40k stuff.  :(

I have been collecting these chaos off ebay for a number of years and have ammounted a sizeable collection of E40K era Chaos.  Some would say it is rediculoisly large and that I am mad, however the dark god within me says 'buy', when the emperor says 'no to much'.

Cheers
