It looks to me like the landspeeder/tractor driver is smaller than his biker contemporaries. They may still fit. Maybe we can get the owner of those minis to post a size comparison?

Hi Guys,

As Dafrca mentioned, those pieces were all part of the 10mm MWDA "Clickie Tech" line...

Unless they've done some significant shrinking, they will be large in comparison to 6mm or even "scale creep" 6mm pieces...

And the Ral PArtha / Iron Winds 6mm Battletech infantry have come cast in two sizes... a "true" 6mm and  much larger version with "scale creep"...

I have representatives of both... very different beasts.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Yes, I thought the I/Wind stuff might be too big for 6mm SF ...  so DRM and GZG are the best choices, IMO.    I've got  10mm Pendraken "Aliens", "Predators" and Lizardmen ... their Big size will work fine for Xenomorphs for 6mm !  "They be just BIG Aliens"  !!!!    :D

Hi!

Most interesting. Are they making a new 6mm line? Thier stuff was a slightly larger scale......

Primarch

The Classic battletch line from Ironwind metals has always been a "6mm" line. ?

It was here long before the new 10mm Mechwarrior Collectable, Clicky, plastic, junk from Wizkids. ( I think I just showed my bias ?:;): ) ?

The proplem is they have never had good quality control over their scupltors and have never cared about consistancy in their miniature line.

As such many of their minis vary from good fit to way to big for 6mm.

Their standard infantry fits in nicely with GW infantry, so I imgaine these would work well. ? Or I hope.

Hi!

Not really, classic BT is more 7-8 mm, it wasnt really a true 6mm line, then again I may be splitting hairs.....  :;):

Hi!

I own quite a few BT figs, especially the battle suits, they are DEFINITELY larger than standard 6mm.

Battletech was never sold as a 6mm scale line. That was something the fans put on it. The truth is, the different minis are not even to scale from one to another. The 20 ton were as large as the 80 ton, and in some cases the tanks have been put out in two scales.

Battletech is one of those lines you have to take on a figure by figure bases.

Your both right.   :D

The ironwind line is very up and down.

They are trying to improve, they even have a miniature review commitee now.  But I look at my collection of mechs and you can see vast difference in the scuplts.

The only vehilcles I have ever brought fromm them is them is to use as ork vehilcles.

Still there is an appeal for the giant walkers.   :p

You cant even tell the size of the minis from the (random) cost of the things either. I have started to pick up a few bits for my Squat force.

The powered infantry do look too large for Epic.

Hi Dafrca & Gang,

True. It has been officially touted in the past as a 1/285 line... meant to match up with microarmor. At least, that was the idea... in reality, most microarmor pieces seem small next to B-tech ones.

True again. Very few companies used the 6mm appelation until the 1990s. The term "6mm" has now really come into vogue.

Yes. Some of the pieces absolutely scale horribly with one another.

Agreed.

The community may have to rename Dafrca to something like:

"Dafrca, 'Right On As Always,' the 15mm Guru!"

I thought about "right as always" but that title belongs to the long absent Jimbo.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
