Seeing auctions like this makes me wish I had bought more minis like these during the AT era.

Well if TRC doesn't pic them up I'll definitely give it a go. Adding these to the ones I've already got I'll be able to field one detachment of Mk1 Metal Marines. Not quite as ambitious as TRC's whole company but definitely enough for my humble needs :D

Man, I'd kill for a company of those.  (Wait, Chris has at least a company already.  That bum.)

I really wish that GW would bring those poses back.  How hard would it be to make those metal poses in plastic, with modern molds?

It depends really.

The metal marine I have would be impossible to produce as a plastic 1-piece.

Too many deep undercuts, too much cross-seam detail.

It wouldn't be impossible on principle to produce an interesting variety of poses for every Epic army (Say 5 different ones, so each marine on a base could be different, like the ForgeWorld Tau), but if the other metals are anything like the one I have, it's impossible to use them as the base model.

Hopefully it'll not go that much higher or this could end up hideously expensive for me :p

Too expensive for me, too. As much as I'd like to have metal Marines, I'm not willing to spend over 20 pounds for 19 of them.

It will go higher. This s a rare sight. Four full stands is not seen often. Heck a full stand is not seen often.

Yup. I'm Gnillas ( my last name spelled backwards; clever eh? :p )
I'm willing to let this go fairly high as a full detachment of mk1 marines is one of the very few things still on my wishlist.

Good Luck!

Now you just have to watch out for Maksim, he seems to be interested as well.
