I was talking with ePilgrim this past week and he made it apparent that my organization skills are lacking when it comes to putting my armies together.

Currently I have the following list of projects (in no particular order)-

Flock my Eldar
Paint and flock SMs
Model, paint and flock Tau
Model, paint and flock Necron
Model, paint and flock Orks
Paint and flock Harlequins
Model, paint and flock Elysians
Scratch building/proxying the Dark Eldar

Anyone else this disorganized?  Or am I just off the deep end? :p

Hey Moscovian,

That's impressive to-do list. However, in your defense, it's perfectly natural to want to work on/complete several armies at the same time. Maybe it's more a case of ePilgrim being very organized.  :D

My current list of short-range projects is small, but my long range projects are lenghty as well. Here's what I'm currently working on:

20 IG heavy stands
5 Tarantulas
3 Razorbacks
6 Deathstrike Missile Launchers
About 8 Titan weapons and heads

Once these are done I'm going to tackle:
6 objectives
Terrain - ruins and woods
My Squat army, which totals about 20,00 points
Knights- I currently have about a dozen primed, with many more are waiting
Ultramarines - flock about 50 stands
                    - paint and flock about 100 stands

Looks like my list of army projects.

Of course, that's not counting a dozen WIP terrain projects too.

Heh - here's one thing I'm good at. I'm working on:

1 SG Titan comp model
2 Epic Armies (Polar Warrior SMs and AMTL odds and ends)
a DRM Andrayad army
a small conversion order for a customer in the US  :p
2 Land Ironclad armies
1 Aeronef fleet
1 Hammerin' Iron fleet
2 40K armies (Siege Warden SMs and Witch Hunters)
2 WHFB armies (Wood Elves and Dwarfs)
1 Blood Bowl team (DE)
1/35 scale WWII minis for a Republic of Venice army
6mm scale WWII minis (will be started as soon as they get here!)
A 40K Ork vehicle
A 40K Piranha
A Forgeworld 40K Tyranid spore chimney (good for Epic too!)
A CI conversion
A handful of Confrontation miniatures
A star destroyer model kit

All these are in various stages of progress with representative bits on my workstation.

Tsk - no Warmaster, Man O' War or LOTR projects.....  :p

Amateurs.  You need to get a couple children and watch the to-do list for hobbies get longer... and longer... and longer...

Well, I didn't bother to list me other armies that are waiting to be painted:

Orks - 20,000 points
Chaos - 20,000 points
Eldar - 10,000 points (maybe more)
TL - 10 or so Warlords, 2 Warhounds and about 50 knights (both AT and TL era)

Who knows when I'll get to them, but fortunately now that my daughters are older, I have more time to paint.

Hi, my name is Tony and I'm a disorganized wargamer...

I have one detachment left to finish my Thousand Sons, and my World Eaters need their bases painted and flocked.
Last night I just picked up a 1/3 finished Khorne Warlord Titan and started work on it again. I'm trying to avoid using stock warlord weapons - and I don't have any metal chaos variants...
I have a half finished Tzeentch Reaver Titan.
There is no artillery or AA painted in my 6mm GZG army, which is also missing the super heavy tanks.
I have three units of archers, a liche on a dragon and a few other items to finish off my Fantasy Rules! undead army.

Overall, I would say our affliction is not uncommon...

I feel better already.  So I guess ePilgrim is just anally retentive.

Hear, hear. This is starting to sound like a support group session.
By the way, if I were to add started but unfinished armies, I would have to claim around 23 more.
Honest.  :O

Ha! I laugh at your feeble attempts at disorganisation! ?:D

About a year ago, I decided that I needed to sort out my addiction. I went through, and categorised all of my wargames into a number of sections:

Primary
Secondary
Tertiary
Other
Projects

Each game belongs to a section (Epic in Primary, etc). Each game then consists of rules, primary forces and auxiliary forces.

My Epic section has seven primary forces and eight auxiliary forces... although I need to re-evaluate these as armies fall in and out of favour!

I have said if before, and it remains true - I am an accountant of the wargaming world!

Now, of these forces, I dont actually think that I have a full small force painted and organised for a single army in a single game!

I have the attention of a hummingbird... but I enjoy the journey knowing that I will probably never reach the destination.

Well, I can say that I have a least one partial or totally unpainted army for every GW game with the exception of Battlefleet Gothic  :O

Not keen on BG as its not as good as Full Thrust IMO, which is the only game I have painted all the miniatures I own for it! (Its only a smallish NSL fleet!).

The only "army" that I have totally painted is my Necromunda gang. I even have a couple of extra models painted! So, that makes a total of 10 figures!

I can field about 10000 points of painted Epic chaos, but the resulting force composition leaves much to be desired.  :D

I also have a reasonable size DS2 force - as long as my opponent doesn't bring and aircraft. I would likely also be whooped if he brought loads of anit-aircraft.

Ho hum. It's actually pretty scary how much wargamers are alike no matter where they come from.  :O

My projects:

1/35 Jagdtiger I started back in 1992. LOTS of other 1/35 tanks waiting to be built.

Epic armies:
IG
Orks
Eldar
Chaos
Tyranids
Marines

Man O'War Fleets:
Orks
Chaos
High Elves
Dark Elves
Empire
Bretonnia
Dwarves
Chaos Dwarves

40k armies:
Black Templars
Eldar
IG

WHFB/Armies of Arcana
(I bought 10mm Warmaster figs at 50% discount for this venture)
Empire
High Elves
Orcs

BGWWII (Using 10mm minis)
German
British
Soviet

And so on...

Ha - Saab Tunnaan (pardon my spelling, I guess) started in 1984..... still unfinished.  :p
If it ever is, it might get Venetian markings  :;):

And don't make me list my armies in progress. Please.

I  t's really worrying that the only time I brag about something it's got a lot to do with undecisiveness and procrastination.....  :p
