wow ! great pics here!

I bought a infantry Space marine bits bag, with a lot of unpunched marines.

unfourtunally in the bits bag was a lot of mounted infantry (devs (25 stands) , tactics(40 stands), assault (10 stands) poor painted, I cannot take of the paint so I will repair the marines as good as I can. I begin with the assault stands, I will take a photo and I will write what has been repaired in each one.

cheers

Bans, try a household cleaner called "Simple Green"; does a great job removing paint from plastic ! ? ? ?I don't know if they have it in Spain ? ? They may have it in the UK ?

Let's see...  From my Hobby Day Weekend projects:  still unable to find my paintbrushes, which is making quite a bit of progress impossible.  Like painting 36 Fire Warriors.  Grrrrrrr.

Spent the last week filling seams on 2 devilfish, sprayed them, and found several more seams that I either missed or didn't fill enough.     On the other hand, the Blue Angels Blue from the rattlecan looks great.  Some wet-sanding to clean up some blemishes in the finish from when a gust of wind sent the engines across the backyard, and another coat of paint should have the base coat done.  Then I get to figure out how to paint the hatches white with a nasty cheap nylon brush.  (Starting from gray primer, should be able to get the hatches white pretty quickly)  From there, add details (Black Radome, De-icer boots around the engine intakes, Warning:  Jet Intake chevrons, etc.), the hand-painted ESWAT Markings (after I find my paintbrushes) and decals.  Couple coats of glosscote later, and they're ready to face the enemies of the Greater Good.

I've got 4 Plasma-Fusion guns built for my ESWAT army, and just about finished my Shas'el (I just need to find some master arms, like from a spare Marine, and finish the flight pack.)  Still need to figure out what weapons to give to my command team, though.  If it's Shas'o+'vre, they both have burst cannons, Shas'o gets the Cyclic Ion Blaster, and 'Vre gets the Airburst Frag cannon; but if it's 3 suits, they all have a Plasma Rifle, and the Shas'o has the CIB, one 'Vre gets the AFP, and the other gets the Burst Cannon.  Maybe I can acquire enough Plasma Rifles and burst cannons that I can just build both gun sets without having to buy more suits.  Then I get to build 6 more Landmates (and reshape the torso on each one).  I need to figure out how to magnetize the weapons and flight pack so that I can swap from plasma rifle/'missile pod' to plasma-fusion gun.  Looks like a virtual stop at K&J Magnetics is in order, after I get some real income.

On that note, had an interview with Fish & Game today, should know Wednesday if I'm going to get a call-back interview with the Deputy Director (I'd be the admin assistant in the Director's office, so the DDF&G wants to meet the candidates).  Had another interview Tuesday, but won't know about the results of that for at least another week.  Also had a phone interview with BSU Women's Center last week, should hear back from them early next week as well.  Being unemployed sucks!

[crosses fingers]

Been busy with my new lap top, but hopefully will post pics of my stuff this Sunday ?  Got in a "disagreement" with my boss, who since they bought the place 5 years ago, I've always had trouble with them.  Been there 14 years ... so I'm a seasoned employee.  But I have some other options !   And if I get a new job, won't have to deal with them and some of the other losers !  :D

Good luck on the interviews, Lion. Having experienced it for 6 months, I know being unemployed sucks.

Received a Full Thrust Fleet through the mail today. Was not expected.

So my new goal is to get the Full Thrust Fleets Painted and fix a mounting system.

First step, buy some of the magnets to make Magnetic stands.

I managed to finish painting the helmets on my 20 IG heavy stands. All I have left to do on them are their weapons, a little touch-up work and painting the stands green. Yay, almost done.  :)

L4, what did we tell you about teasing us like that... where's the pics?!

Found some marines that I had painted up for a commission many years ago, that the owner never paid me for.  I'm now the 'proud' owner of a squad of Tactical Marines and a Devastator Squad (like I really need more of either, but the extra heavy weapons will be nice for the 5th (Battle) Company of Dark Angels).  Took a couple apart to get usable arms for my Shas'el.  One master arm is in place, the other is waiting for the plastic cement to cure before I drill it for the pin.  Once that's done, she'll be painted Blue, with a bit of red, and yellow, and lots of White trim.  The master arm of my Broadside Shas'vre has proved stubborn, and the Testors white Contour putty is taking longer than it should to set.  I still need to build the Railgun for him, in addition to building the shoulders up.  If you own the Appleseed manga, I'm building Briareos, as he shows up in the fourth book.  For most of the rest of the suits, I'm going for the look from the new Appleseed movie.

If I can figure it out, I have a really cool idea for the shield drones that I want to try, involving some electrical work and fiber optics.  The look I'm going for is flares from a helicopter.  If I can get it to work, I'm going to make many of them, and use them for both Shield Drones on battlesuits and Decoy Launchers on vehicles.

Got the letter of 'we found someone else' from the Department of Education, so still working on finding a job, too.  I plan on getting a digicam sometime before Christmas (probably, since I want a digital SLR for real picture-taking, and those are dang pricey, ~$1000 for the Body plus a decent macro lens), so I'll be able to post some pics of my stuff.  After the Digicam, it's time for the FW Epic Tau order (although that will probably be in time for IA5 or 6).

How can you get sent a Full Thrust fleet that you were not expecting???

There are pictures of the Vertex on the Mercenary Brush site - I will be getting one of those in the near future!

It is a long story. But I will give you the short version.  :;):

I had a box full of the old Ral Partha SciFi 15mm figures. Plus a couple of dozen of the original GZG 15mm NAC troopers (much slimmer then the ones they make now).

A friend wanted to trade for them. So I told him I couled use some Full Thrust ships he had said he had extra.

We agreed and sent each other boxes. Well, he said he had misunderstood what I was sending and felt he had gotten too good of a deal. He told me he would send me another fleet once he found them. I told him not to worry because I felt we had an even exchange.

Flash forward about four months, the box arrives and I have a new fleet.  :D

That is the short version. Of course there is more, but I do not want to tie up this thread that long.
