It was a link further down the thread. I just figured the rest would have done like I did and look down the thread and hit the link leading to the Rumor site.

Wellit appears Daf got a greater share of brain cells than a fair few of us - i missed it to & its by far the most exciting miniature I've seen from Forgeworld in years!
Lovely piece.

I do not think it is more brain power so much as more curiosity.

Lovely piece.

Is the word "minature" correct??\
:D
Very nice nonetheless.

Thanks for all who posted the links. Some nice aircraft there. Would like to see a closer comparison shot between FW T-Hawk and SG T-Hawk.

Cheers

James

Hey guys. The rumour roundup for FW's Aeronautica Imperialis is:

- It does exist, check out the 2006 printed catalogue.
- It uses "Epic scale" aircraft
- The THawk is apparently 10 odd cms long
- Hardcover rulebook similar to Imperial Armour
- It should be released around the same time as Gamesday '06 (total rumour so far, sorry I can't confirm)

If I'm wrong, or I missed anything, then my bad. Just thought you might want to know.

Looks like a cool game, brings to mind the comment in the FAQ in the Epic: Armageddon rulebook about wanting to make an air combat game as well as the Epic specialist game.

It'll be released on gamesday, from what I've been told.

Hardbound book, why do they do that? So they can justify the $50 to $60 price tag?  ???

That's weird, I haven't seen anything in the email newsletters...  As long as the price isn't too bad, it should be worth looking at.  The minis alone are a great thing (resin, to-scale THawk?  I need 30+ THawks, and another 20+ THawk Transports for the Chapter, and hopefully they'll also make the LS Tempest), and supposedly the aircraft stats should be the same as Epic:A.

How many different aircraft do you think they'll make?

Quote from FW:
"Imperial Navy players will be able to fly missions using Thunderbolts, Lightnings, Marauders and Marauder Destroyers. Imperial Space Marines provide some heavy support with thier huge Thunderhawk gunships and Transporters while facing off against the fighters and bombers of the Tau, Orks, Eldar and Chaos."

Or something like that.  :)
