I recently bought some of the new GHQ german infantry and definitly on the small size for Epic (though they do make the marines look the right size :laugh: ) about as tall as IG but far 'spindle'er' I'll try and get a couple of comparison shots over the nexr day or so.

I overexposed again!

I'm going to try and turn off the flash and see what that does.

However, I still did get about eight shots out of the batch.

I'm really having problems getting good lighting and focus.

I just took 80 snapshots and ended up with 2 usable photos. Aaagghhh!

I've read the instructions many a time and know the features and am still having difficulty.

That's another L4-ism.  It's "Thunder Brick Battle Fortress".  I don't know if you saw the 2 Thunderbricks he added tracks and wheels to, but they were mighty cool!  Supposedly there are 4 more floating around out there and I wanna see em.

I'm really having problems getting good lighting and focus.
I had serious problems with this too!  For months!  First, turns out my camera had a close-up setting I wasn't using(DUH!), and indoor lighting was worthless.  I ended up taking pics in front of a window.  Not too much light, not too little, just right.  

Good luck with the pics.  We wanna see!

I had the same problem, when I 'borrowed' the work camera for a bit.  Light is your friend.  I shot my 40k stuff in full sun, with the models in a white-painted box to fill the shadows.

A friend of mine (a guy that paints a lot of stuff for Classic Battletech books) uses a light blue background, instead of the white.  He also uses two big flashes, and a halogen work light for fill, IIRC.

I think it is time for Maksim to plan a run to Los Angeles and bring his camera with him.  :;):

Serious, make sure you are on an indoor setting on the camera. Often the camera default it out door and the lighting in most homes is not enough.

The best photos come when shot in mid-afternoon lighting, outdoor. But my next best shots have come from indoor, on an indoor setting.

I find you can get ok images indoors just with the camera flash as long as the subject is on a neutral grey backdrop.  Not as good as outdoors, or with multiple light sources, but ok.
