OK, it is that time again. Start thinking about a day off just to clear out one or a few of your unfinished projects.

Saturday July 22nd through Monday July 24th.

Pick a day, any day. Give some time to your hobby. Document it either rin posts, or with pictures and posts.

Just in case you did not know, I love pictures.

So come join in the fun.

Oh and for those new people who do not know what I am talking about, the short version goes like this. I had not been able to do anything on my different game projects for a long time. So I decided to burn a vacation day, a ?Special Project? day and just do game related stuff. The first day I took off and spent about six hours assembling vehicles. Nothing else.

When I shared with the group what I had done, there was a feeling it would be fun to all do something on the same day. So my ?Special Project Day? became an ?International Special Project Day? and I tried to schedule a day the following month. But as we discussed the idea, it was obvious not everyone could take a day off work or get out of previous commitments. So I stretched my day to be a weekend plus a day. Either a Friday or a Monday.

You do not have to paint per say, the idea is to spend some ?Quality? time doing something. Assembling, primer, painting, building terrain, something that you ?just do not have the time to do? in your normal time frames. That is why I do the vacation day. It allows me to spend a large chunk of time focused on a project.

Look at the June or May threads to see the past days.

If the weather cooperates this time, I plan on doing a ton of priming, specifically Squats. My backup plan is to base/assemble a bunch of things.

Yep, that is part of what I want to do. Get some of the vehicles primered. I am also thinking with as hot as it has been around here, maybe I will also get the base colors onto some as well.

Looking more and more like I will have to settle for some time on Saturday or Sunday this month. Monday is looking more like I will be needed with my little girl. When faced with this "Either Or" well, the hobby looses.

But I hope many of you will still try and do something. That way I can live through your projects this month.

Not rather a special project day, but since last year september I believe I actually started painting again this month. So, it is Special Project Month for me!

I'm painting my second entry for the Gothic Competition. It goes really well. Colour scheme looks good.

But why oh why did I choose white?

I'm planning to start today with my Warlord (for my 3000 points AMTL-Force as well as for the SG Epic Competition). It won't be finished this month, probably (I'm not a fast converter/painter), so I'll be busy on the special project days, too.

Likewise. We will need to compare troops (assuming that I get them finished next weekend!).

Looks like the weather will cooperate for me Saturday to do my ton o' primering.  :) Just in case, I have about 20 AT era knights that need basing, along with a bunch of other stuff.

Unfortunately I have to skip this one. I have an ultimate tournament this weekend, and the Tour de France is the one sporting event that I watch each year... I'm booked!

I was really psyched to do some primering today. The forecast called for rain, but it wasn't supposed to start till the afternoon. So, I figured that would leave me plenty of time before the rain started. On my way back from my usual weekly dump run, it started raining, hard.    The rain did let up periodically, but never long enough to allow me to spraypaint outside.  :(

Time for plan B, basing up a bunch of stuff, which inlcudes some knights, specifically 12 Eldar knights and 15 AT era Imperial knights. I'm going to try to assemble and base up some objectives.

Fortunately tomorrow and Monday promise to be much better weather-wise. So, with luck I'm still hoping to prime a ton of minis, mainly most of my Squat army and some objectives.
