AMTL of Warlords and Reavers is actually really hard to win with  (on a 6x4 board with about 3000 or less points) - its the warhounds and other support units that cause problems!

You missed the Speed Freaks as an official list too :)

......but I know Dwarf Supreme is itching to play his AMTL, so how can I deny him?
:p

True, would nto want a sad Dwarf on your hands. ?:;):

dafrca

I don't know if I would say I'm "itching" to play ATML.  :p What can I say, I'm addicted to titans.  :D  Thanks for the consideration, though. I'm not too concerned with winning. Having a good time is more important.

Right now I'm actually leaning towards a Steel Legion army. I don't have any infantry painted, but I'm pretty sure I have enough vehicles painted to field a decent IG army.

Yeah - I caught that one when I started downloading the White Scars.
I know we'll have Imperial Guard, Space Marine, Eldar, Orks, and AMTL at the tournament.  It will be fun to see them mix it up.  It would even be more fun if there were no two like armies in the tournament at all. :alien:

I had a few questions about this one:

Notably, what's the cover-charge gonna be? I'm assuming something like $20 or so?

What's the point-value going to be (Or have you decided yet?) 2700? 3000? 3500? 5000? I'm guessing 2700. But I'd like to know for sure just to be positive.

I'll probably be bringing AMTL myself, since I love Titans, and it's really the only army I have enough parts for!

I believe it's 10 bucks and 3000 points.

Correct - 3000 and $10.  I was thinking about bumping the cost to cover some sort of prize, but bragging rights is probably sufficient.

I will have lots o' stuff available to make the tourney go smoothly (hopefully ??? ).  Will post later next week.

Thanks for the interest!

(Ilushia, you get the ride-share all worked out?)

I've been talking with Corey and I emailed Toadchild about it. Haven't gotten any mail back from Toadchild. And Corey has to look into if he'll be able to make such a long trip. Anyone else out in the Baltimore area looking to go? I can help pay for gas, and lodgings if you people wana set out on Friday in the evening instead of dead-early Saturday morning.

I was thinking to bring either Ulthwe Eldar or Armageddon Orks.

I don't know of anyone bringing Orks so far, so you would definitely round out the event.  :p

Well, unpainted Orks don't fight as well, but they are tournament legal.  Feel free if you are feeling the Waaaargh!

I know they're tournament legal, but I'll stick with an army that's mostly painted. :D

DS, have you been able to confirm if your nephew is coming as well?

Ilushia, are you definitely coming?  If so, who do you have in tow?

Anyone else joining us?

I need to arrange appropriate table space and get the tourney rules posted asap.  With 8 people and 4 tables a Swiss style will allow for 3 games for everybody - not bad at all.  With more people, I will have to either get more tables or change the format of the tournament.

I may not be able to come. It depends on what happens between now and then... Toadchild STILL hasn't responded to my email (I'll probably send another soon). Corey's expressed interest in coming up there, but dunno what'll happen with that, since for us to make it up there we'd have to leave Friday afternoon most likely and spend the night up there (Leaving at 4 AM does not enthuse most people, it seems). I'll try, really hard, to make it up there. But unless I can find someone to ride with it's just not gonna happen...
