Over here in the US.. Epic got the short end of the stick by not being put out to the regular stores. I do not know if you guys in Europe have to order it from Workshop direct like we do but it sucks. I have talked to the local store owner here and he use to be a big fan of the old 2nd edition and he would have been more than happy to give wall space and support to EpicA. He has stated in his opinon that Epic would be a much better moving product line than Lotr.
?I have played Workshop games now for twenty years or more and I can never figure what they are thinking. But it would be nice to see Epic moved from SG to prime time again.
I know that would wishfull dreaming.

I have played Workshop games now for twenty years or more and I can never figure what they are thinking.


That is an amazingly large club.  sadly
There are lots of veteran gamers who have played the myriad of GW games for many years, and cant work out what the hell they are doing.  

I can tell you what they ARENT doing...and thats collecting my money any more

I believe that a decade plus vet player or supporter with GW is less cared about than a newbie. I've heared that they feel that newbs spend more money. Well they have never seen my storage space for minis and games.
In my area its the vets that bring in and teach the games to the newbs. Also, teach the gamers to paint to atleast a resonable degree. Hmmmm- I wonder if workshop should'nt be paying the veteren players for there time?

Their Annual Report a couple of years ago listed their primary client as between 12 and 16. Further I believe they have indicated that us older vets tend to not buy as often. The key here is the cash flow.

They believe we tend to buy our favorite army and that we are less likely to jump to the "New Army of The Month" like the younger players do.

Now I am not saying I agree, knowing a 45 year old who has shifted his 40k army six times in the last couple of years. I am just saying it is what I believe they are thinking.

Welcome on the Crew, Sagan !   I started Epicing since '90 ... have most of what G/W produced for Epic ... But I don't know if we'll see much more ?! ??? But the current "Rumor" is Chaos in '07 ...  I'm not bett'n the farm on it ... but ... I'm not going to say it ain't gonna happen either ...  ???

Sad too, because they are still trying to figure out why sales have dropped. You can only kick the fans in the face so much, then they leave. :/
