Hi Guys!
Sorry I've been gone for so long!
Please re-submit any articles you've sent (this isn't completely necessary, it would just be much easier for me to find them than clawing my way through my Yahoo account!). You don't have to, it would just help me out
Cheers,
RayB
Ps: If only we could release a separate rules supliment(s)

WHOA RAY! You have been taken a longer vacation as I have done.
I'll send the scenarios + khareshi. Okay?

Demiurg Escorts and Battlefleet Pech have been sent in. Hope they're 'all in order' and all that jazz...

Heh, it made me laugh at anyrate[admitedly with a bemused 'Eh?' ? face on at the time!]
I'm happy to see them go to FOM or WR, whichever'll serve the community best[FOM ideally being that option given it's 'close-to-officialdom' status].
That said, I've a few more bits and pieces I'm able to knock-up depending on what's needed. For instance, I've got the "Battle of N'Dras" still near-at-hand if you'd like it for putting in the magazine as a bit of a story...
EDIT: Damnit, I'll send it in anyway!
And, as always, I'm pretty sure Shinnentai and Nerroth'd be happy to see the Commerce Protection Fleet thing put into WR, if you'd have it.

The remark: 'a rule supplemental' got me thinking. It seems people really like thinking up new fleets and races (see the Khareshi Expanse, the Solus from the SG forum at the moment and even the Star Wars ships).
I don't know about the other departments, but writing good stories is only something for the gifted ones. Scenario's is fun to do if you have an idea. And soon (that is after a couple of replies by Ray ) you get the hang of it. Writing general articles is also hard, cause it is hard to find a subject to write 1-2 pages about and not be boring to people.
How do other people view this?

I really like the idea of an ongoing set of articles in Warp Rift dealing with the new, minor races that people are coming up with here - looking at the rules, background, stories, scenarios and ship building and theming each issue around a particular race with additional general stuff thrown in.
People do like coming up with new races and rules, and generally these are really good. However, how many people actually read and play these new races and rules? Scenarios can be played many times, with your favourite fleets, articles cause you to reflect on your practice in the game and so on.

Heh heh, I guess new rules & races is more theory and fun scratchbuilding as actually playing (hard enough to do a 'real' game!).
That's why Ray has 3 scenario's from me, they are the start of a linked campaign (8-9 scenarios long). (For me from Ray: Orks not Orcs.)
