Having gotten back into epic in recent months, I've gotten to wondering where to find more opponents?

Where do all three of London's epic players hang out then?  :/

Hi

Personally, I go to Central London Wargames Club
We meet on Tuesday nights in J.Ds Sports Bar, Liddington Place (behind Mornington Crescent Tube, about 1 mile north of Euston mainline station).

There are several Epic players there amoung the 20 - 30 members, who also play a wide variety of other games (not all are on Frappr).

I occasionally go to the Legion club which meets on Wednesdays just south of Shepherds Bush, where another Epic player normally goes, but we have not yet managed to get a game arranged for one reason or another.

What Ginger said. Also where are you? Another club meets in Euston on Wednesdays. Plus I have contacts for other clubs.
Where in london are you (or more importantly on what tube/train line!).

I'm on the Northern line.

I did drop by the Mornington Crescent club about six months back before I put my Epic army together and got in a couple of games (One Fantasy, one 40k... gw games all the way lol), but I don't have tuesdays free at the moment.

I didn't know there was a club in Euston. Several people might be interested in coming along if I can find an easy to reach club.

Hi

And if you wanted to head west there is the Legion gaming club in Shepherds Bush. Trying to play more Epic there, although to be fair not as much Epic as Central London Wargames Club.

Although hopefully I am playing Ginger there tomorrow, work permitting.

Lol looks like I may have to try and free up my tuesday evenings again, if that's the only real 'hub' of Epic in London.

Ah well, at least there's beer too. :D

In euston there is
Tuesdays - Pub
Wednesday - Some university place (you can play spot the student I don't think anyone is)
2 Thursdays a month - The pub again

As TRC said, the Central London Club does sometimes meet on Thursdays in JDs Sports bar, but attendance is limited. Probably best to check with me or Admiral Ng first rather than turning up on the off-chance.

So, if you want regular games, it would see you are right that you need to free up Tuesdays, or try Wednesdays at either the Legion club (Shepherds Bush) or London University - LOL

It's quite possible that I may have met some of you chaps before, I sat in on an Epic game at CLWG's one time... long hair and annoying nasal voice ring any bells?

I managed to lose the game I was sitting in on in a single turn and I doubt my tactics have gotten any better, but if tuesdays it is I'll look into making a return, hopefully with one or two other Epic players in tow.
