So... I've been thinking about my own gradually growing Titan Legion. I'm currious as to how people have gone about representing the Carapace Landing Pad? I've been considering making it some kind of big communication antenna (Mostly because I like the idea that the titans would communicate with their handler ships to provide telimitry on such weapons). I'm kindof currious if anyone else has tried taking this kind of route? Or any other routes for that matter, since I haven't seen or heard of many which use it!

I represent mine with the Carapace Landing Pad I bought about 16-17 years ago.

You could use an upturned square Epic base with the lights from the old vehicle sprues on the sides and support beams running to the carapace of the warlord to prop it up. Add on an antanae then paint a helipad sign on it..
I've done this for my specialist land train battlecar gyro copter landing pad (For NetEpic) looks quite good even unpainted.

I use the old Landing Pads, too.

But more seriously, any sort of combination of antenae array/landing platform/observation deck would work just fine. The radar dish from the Objectives blister would be a good start.
I recall a titan someone did (possibly WMN?) where they just left the carapace weapon off a MkIII Warlord, painted landing pad markings on the flat top of it and added a few aerials. They might have done a slightly elevated pad out of plasticard, but you get the idea. Simple.
The old Fire Control Tower was basically just a tall tower for the carapace. The old CLPs were basically just platforms with battlements. The square one had an Imperial Eagle landing pad marking and the round one had a small 'control center' kind of building and little prongs sticking out the sides that could have been antennae or point defense turrets (never sure which). There was also a "Command Head" that had an exagerated jaw with battlements and was supposed to work basically the same as the Fire Control Center.
Any of that should be pretty easy to bitz up.
If you happened to have the platform off an old Colossus, that would pretty much be perfect, too.

What ever you do, I would include a landing pad of some sort as it is a "Pad".
Me, I used the old landing pad with a spotter from the old Warmonger Titan.
