Ok another question if I may.

Will the DRM minature line be just limited to those three races and the terrain. Or will new races be incorporated  to make the DRM universe a bit more varied?

Thank you for the answers so far.  Sorry if it seems I'm being nosy, just planning my purchases for the next few months really!   :D

I'm not part of the DRM team in any way.

I would like to be though... if Doug changes his mind.

I have an idea who are the DRM playtesters / developers are, but that's Doug's information to release if he wishes to do so.

The impression that I have is that it is not a question of anyone changing their mind, but more about not actually having anything concrete to playtest yet. Doug has built a reputation on quality, and from what I can gather there is not actually any formal set of rules developed, that these are a way off and that Doug wants to have a basic structure to get the playtesting off with... and that this is still in the concept phase.

As for minis, again I am no official insider into the company or the range, but from communications I think that there will be other races produced, some soon, but that the current three still have a lot of development left in them and will be the 'core three'. Personally, I am constructing two forces (Andrayada and Kraytonians) and using bits from the Pax Arcadia range for my Epic forces, and then I am sure that I will be buying into other races when they arrive. However, starting with two which are currently available lets me get into it all right away, and keep up as they are expanded.

Doug's intimated to me ... that there is more Races to follow ! ?:;): ?However, the first 3 - Androids, Lizardmen and numerous Humies ... certainly were great choices and fills some (more) gaps left in the dying G/W 6mm line ... :) Good show, Doug ! :D

there is a lot more in teh pipeline.

New models for the Kraytonians, Humans & Andrayada will continue to be released. Enough are already sculpted to see us set for a good time to come.

There are also other races in development for release in the next year or so & more terrain concepts, although its not my place to go into details here - sorry!

Hi!

Hard to be patient when you want stuff.

In my case I buy so much I really need to see the whole line before jumping in... :;):

Well Primarch, I dont think Doug has any plans to STOP proucing minis, certainly not in the next few years - if you want to see them all before you buy, you may well be waiting a VERY long time - DRM ain't fading out new releases any time soon :D

But he should slow down the new releases at some point. If he keeps up the pace he has set for now it could work against him.

People could begin to feel overwhelmed.

There is much in the pipeline which has just to be done or planned out though I pretty much know what I would like to do.  Its been something I have wanted to do now for a long time before anyone else got involved.

For the main, the miniatures have a head start on most of the stuff that was worked on purely because Bob N is working too fast!!  Plus I am a fusspot and am quite pandantic with everything so as some have already said everything is being worked on until its at a stage when we can start doing stuff for the website and gradually help people into the various races with the right feel to it.

Dafrca:
You are quite right in what you say about being overwhelmed and thats not what I am aiming for.  Just because the greens are being made doesnt mean you will see them ;)  Minis are being worked on now because we have the time to flesh stuff out and when dealing with a new race it means that I can make sure we are covering the right models rather than doing some and filling in the gaps later.

This is a wise move. At the start you come out with a good number of minis and three nice armies. Makes sense. Then you slow down and allow people to select the army (or armies) they like and buy into the line. Over time allow new minis to come out and introduce a new army only once in a while.

I agree, do as much as you can now, then use them over time to keep the line alive and expanding. Great strategy.
