Thanks CS. I can also send you my unofficial Conqueror class if you need articles BTW. I'm just having problems with the editing as the PDF ends halfway down the last page.

Hi. That sounds great. I actualy edit and convert to PDF here, integrating the graphics, etc so that would not be a problem.

Maybe I should email Andy and ask him if he will use the Q'orl list and fluff, regardless of whether it wins or not?

I want to see if the Swarmfleet will have its time in the sun!

I should think it will not.

...

Will not be thrown into the sun that is.  :p

It *should* however, be used by SG, it's a tremendous piece!

No offense to the builders or anything, but so far Im not that impressed by the ships and fluff Ive seen on the specialist games website so far. I mean the Ork ship had potential...but the model was just...nothing to write home about, I expected a big giant Brute Ram ship not some Krooza with just a speartip on it.

I was in a rush! :p

Seriously though, remember, this is not a new ship competition. It's a character ship competition. According to my fluff for it, the ship came from a Terrorship. So that's what I worked with.

If anyone wanted to, however, they could scratchbuild a whole new RamKrooza if they wanted to. More important for now though is the fluff behind it.

And since you thought the fluff had potential (though being let down by the model), I am satisfied because in some way I tickled your imagination with this ship's characterful-ness, that the fluff was feasible in the 40k universe and for that I am happy enough.

PS I did add the dorsal launch bays so it wasn't just the speartip.

I got this feedback from Andy Hall:

Hi Gary,

I have got your article. It didn't make the shortlist I'm afraid. Nothing to do with the quality of the work, it just went way beyond the brief of the competition.

As to if I could publish it for FOM, I think it's doubtful. There's strict editorial policy from 'up high' about publishing new races that haven't been designed in house. By all means submit it to Forge World although I think they are under a similar dictate.

Sorry if this is a dissapointing email. Like I said noting wrong with the quality of the document it's just that the subject matter is not something we can work with at this time.

Cheers
Andy @ Fanatic

Not doing well in the competition I can accept. Not haviong the fleet put into FOM at all is something I can't.

I'll submit it to Forge World and see what they think.

Ooh, I'm tempted to forget about this whole BFG business, at this rate...

But Nerroth, it is GW policy, don't blame Andy & Fanatic.

Send it to Warp Rift or Epiccoms, Cybershadow will be glad to publish & host it. Just like the MMS rules, first Warp Rift and than as a download on the site.

Damn.

That's not so good. Still, they do have it there for if and when they need it. Also, Forgeworld will probably be a good chance, they may even build the ships!

[Perhaps making it clear that it's a totally obscure fleet that no-one *really* wants would make the make it. It's their thing, isn't it? Designing and making things no-one especially wanted, even if they are cool, just because the can...]

[NB- People *do* want these IMO]

Hard luck Gary, though it is still a downright fantastic piece of work none-the-less!

PS Forgot to add. Gary[Nerroth]'s Work recieves the official

Nerroth, did Andy mention at anytime how long the shortlist will be?

Number four the Light Bringer by Andrew Jenkins has been revealed.

Different. Nice innovative drawings. Rules I didn't mind to much. Good entry, altough the story seems familiar to some movies.

Yup, as I said on the SG board, I'm also quite fond of this one. Quite agree with BH there!

Only thing I'd quibble is the all round WBs, but to be honest, it's very minor! A good article! Well done!

Indeed, also 360 doesn't fit the drawing to be honest.
