Will try and confirm before too long.

Mondays usually aren't a good day for me to take a day off from work and Sundays it's hard for me to reserve a big chunk of time to dedicate solely for gluing/painting. However, I might be able to fit in my work over the course of two days.

In general weekdays, specifically Thursday and Friday, are better for me since the missus is at work and my stepdaughters are at school.

As for the to-glue-or-not-to-glue concept - I agree it should be open to whatever anyone wants - although I'll try to stick to one activity - glue, or paint.

When I had the idea for myself, that is what I figured on doing. Spend one day glueing the vehicles together, then over the next few weeks primor them (does not take long) and have them ready so my next day would be a paint day. The final day would be a detail and finalize day. That way in three days (accross three months) I finish 20 to 30 15mm vehicles.

That is more then I have finished in the last two years.

I thought this way I could relax and still get things moving.  :;):

However, I realize my idea is not for everyone. But if we can put together a two day effort, the momentum may help others to get things completed they have not had the time for.

I have at least 1 1/2 fully undercoated but unpainted armies!

Why dont you see if you could speed paint one of them in the alloted time?
Then come back at your leaisure and do the detailing etc that you want later. ?What a way to get progress!

That's the spirit! Get some progress on a project you have not been able to do.

I figured I would start with my vehicles, but I have a whole list scheduled out for the next eight months (one day per month).

A dedicated day would be interesting to see just how much I could get done if I put my mind to it.

My day will be a general free-for-all trying to get as many half finished bits advanced as much as possible.

Yes, can you feel the power? The vibrations? The momentum?

Projects completed or at least moved to the next phase. It feels great!

Then think of the fun we will have posting pictures of what we worked on. Mixed stuff. Painted minis, assembled armies, terrain ideas worked on, all because we set aside one day just for us.  :D

In truth, I would love to see us do this all together, but the key for me is to plan a day and set it aside.

I picked my day based on my work schedule and I went to the local game store so I would not be side tracked by anything at home.

For me, if I tried to stay at home I would get caught up in "just this one more thing" wash dishes, clean cat litter box, call pool man, answer call from work, etc.

By packing my stuff up and going to the store, I focused on the project. ordered a pizza and worked on my project for the whole time.

I remembered that the weekend of May 6th and 7th actually is good for me. My wife is going away that weekend.   So, I should be able to dedicate a decent amount of time to binge on Epic.

Make that date...

I heard back from one of the women and she cancelled...

Not so bad though... she was a long shot anyway. Ultra-liberal feminist from Berkeley... ?:(8:

I wish that more Jewish women didn't get embroiled in radical politics... ?:o0

The flip side is that once I've weeded out the wacko-politics ones, I'm left with some very sweet women... :;):

Shalom,
