I ?am sure that someone would buy it for You if you really want them, I would if you want.

6 hours left and there is only one bid. I'm surprised. Also, I noticed the "Buy it Now" price was removed.

It's a bummer that he'll only ship to the UK.

I think that "buy it now" option disappears on most auctions when someone places a normal bid on it.  Seems stupid but suppose it is fair.

I know a couple of my auctions lost there buy it now when people put stupidly low bids on.

Just curious, did someone ask if he would post to other places?

Sometimes people will, if asked, but they do not mark it that way on the auction.

I'm sure there'll be a flurry of bidding soon.

Tried a sneaky bid at the last minute, but someone else was sneakier! Still at around 40 quid including the postage, it is a bit of a bargain, especially if you sell those evil Eldar titans!

The fact that we were all watching this item brings up another question - do we all keep outbidding each other for epic stuff? I know a few weeks ago I was about to bang a bid in on a cheap Thunderhawk, when I noticed the high bidder was The Real Chris, so I let it go. But I've probably sniped plenty of other Epicomms posters without realising it. Is there any way we can avoid this?

Regards,
Reaver

This comes up every once in a while and the bottom line answer is: You Can't.

Two reasons:

1) If we all agree not to bid except one, there is no garentee that a non-board person will not bid beyond that one.

2) Some here will not pay as much as others. So why should I miss out on an item I want, that I would have paid $100 for just because you bid first and your high bid was $10 and it goes for $25?

Yes, we try not to burn others, but do not "Not Bid" just because I am bidding and do not be angry if I bid on something you are trying for.

Yeah, I'm cheap, I'll admit it.  It still bugs me when Epicollector is bidding up three or four of the same item at the same time!  Can't I please just have *one* of those??  Please??

I will say, though, that I've refrained from bidding when I've seen people I know bidding on something already -- The Real Chris is an example, same thing with Maksim (I think).  I'd probably lose anyway, given my limited budget, so why cause hassle for someone I'll be chatting with day in and day out?

And you are nice for doing so. But at the same time, I would be sad if you did not bid on something you "really" wanted that I was just biding on for fun because it was a cool item etc.

I frequently stick 'marker' bids in instead of using watch this item option. No idea why, just habit, so don't see my name as an impediment!

I only bid ridiculously for metal mk6 marines anyway :)
