Is this going to be a 'glue day' only, or a general 'day dedicated to getting some stuff advanced - no matter what it is or what it takes'?

I think we should make it a "Special Project" day and each person can do what they need to get done. In my Outlook I have the one yesterday listed as Special Project Day and I just made my project to glue as many vehicles as I could.

Just a thought.

I think a general hobby day is best - as I'm not sure everyone will have stuff to glue. Plus I suspect some people try to restrict mass gluing to certain weather conditions for optimal ventilation and temperature  :;):

Sunday is kind of a defete of the point. I take a vacation day so it is not a day the kids expect me or anyone else does either. I truly drop out for a day.  :D

So how about Monday May 15th?

I see...I have the opposite problem with work commitments.
Maybe a small window of opportunity to allow some flexibility?

So maybe we say everone spend a day working on their project from Sunday Morning, May 14th through Monday May 15th and then post photos or discription on posts Tuesday May 16th?

How about that?

Ah, thus why I:

a) Took a vacation day from work and
b) packed my project a few days before and
c) went to the FLGS to use their table and
d) did not tell anyone what I was going to do other then the store manager.

I went and had a slow breakfast then spent seven hours at the game store working on glueing the vehicles together.

It was great. Seven hours of uninterupted glorious progress on my game stuff. No phone calls, no emails, no employee squables, no thinking about my problems, just pure fun time for me.

It was nice. That is why I want to share it with all of you. We all need some down time.  :)

hey Tas, and all, thanks for remembering me :D
Although Sunday would be best, I think the Sunday-Monday job would be more flexible, and given time zone issues, it doesn't make much of a difference anyway. Dafrca, I see your point, and it's a grand idea. I might not be able to do the same, but I aim to get a definite amount of hours done over the two days, preferably in one chunk with perhaps a break in the middle.

As for the to-glue-or-not-to-glue concept - I agree it should be open to whatever anyone wants - although I'll try to stick to one activity - glue, or paint. I have at least 1 1/2 fully undercoated but unpainted armies! I won't try the undercoat day option - can't imagine me spraying away for seven hours. That WOULD be expensive. And I guess the fumes would get me inebriated after 20 minutes :p

Why dont you see if you could speed paint one of them in the alloted time?
Then come back at your leaisure and do the detailing etc that you want later.  What a way to get progress!

I'm tempted. If so, the Undead would be done at last. But I also have Nef/ship/epic ambitions....  :D

For me, I think that a Sunday would be best. My better half currently works on Sunday, so I have the house to myself, but usually I end up distracted by various other things to do. A dedicated day would be interesting to see just how much I could get done if I put my mind to it.

My day will be a general free-for-all trying to get as many half finished bits advanced as much as possible.

It would be nice to all have the same day, but I guess that it is unrealistic, and having a day within a two/three days window is the best compromise. We should announce our day in advance, to stop us (me) backing out at the last minute.
