Hi Guys,

GAH! I've screwed up the thread title - how'd I get rid of the 'Siegemaster work ton'!?

During my Siegemaster work tonight I was browsing through my Eldar/Chaos bits box that came with my 'Nids.

Going through the bits and bobs I came upon an old Disc of Tzeentch and noticed how the disc itself, inverted, looked just like the new 40K Carnifex.

Lo and behold I have built meself a scratch-built Carni! Check out the pics, I think it may need some GS work. Now I'll just have to see if I can scrounge enough bits together to make more!

The bits I used were:

1x Disc of Tzeentch - Disc & Cape - Carapace & Head Crown

1x Juggernaught of Khorne - Rear Legs - Body & Legs

2x Chaos Troll - Club - Deathspiiters/Devourers

1x Minotaur - Torso - Torso and head

plus some plasticard for the scything talons.

Looks cool! Can't wait to see it painted.

Funny, but in the second picture I sswear it looks like a squashed snail without a shell on its back!

Very creative.  I suspect it will look good when painted.

Wohoo. I gonna make myself a Carnifex too hehe.

Very nice indeed. I was thinking of using the old style ones and converting them, but these look in proportion. Can we have a shot of it next to a normal Tyranid Warrior?

I havent actually got there yet. I'm building mine from the basic troups upwards, so I've only got the Gaunts painted and a stand of Tyranid Warriors.

Cheers for all the great comments guys!

@Lextar; You sure can - I've not checked the size of it against anything but Siegemasters! Bear with me though, it'll probably be tomorrow night or the weekend when I get the pics sorted.

As per Lextar's request, here's a pic showing the size comparison between my Carni, Termagaunts and Nid Warriors.

Eek! Sorry about the blurryness of the pics!

Here's the Carni next to a Siegfried Tank, an IG Infantry stand and one of my Thudd Guns.

I may be tempted to somehow make the Carni a bit bigger, although I think adding tusks and maybe spore chimneys might do the trick.
