Phew. Mines is in too. Had a bit of a scare with the Uni Computers on it (had to convert it all from scattered .wps files into coherent .doc files...but didn't realise the Uni ones had no way to open the .wps readably... )
Anyhow, its done. It even included a montage ("even Rocky had a montage!" ). Hopefully it's actually a good article, but I'm really not very good at determining that...
I hope Jervis and Andy are allowed to spend the whole week on this and nothing else just so we see the winners quickly, but from a more realistic PoV I'd guess that it's gonna be a week or three at least before we see the results.

PS The good Inquisitor Revic even made a return...

Nice Archer, that's already a win for you.
I didn't alter stats of the ship, just some extra's (pro & bad) which fit in with the fluff.
I'm satisfied with what I managed but winning is another thing.

The model came about easily, the rules modifications so-so, and the fluffy bit was no sweat - but it's no great shakes either... Best of all, after a long, long time I managed to complete a ship in a colour scheme I liked. Go Ad. Mech. ? ?

Personally, I am just really proud of the fact that I actually managed to finish something!
As for announcements, if SG follow the form of the Epic competition, there will not be an official result. But, I would guess that we will get one runner-up on Fridays FOM mag, another the week after and the winner the week after that.
I am one of those people who normally just throws out a 'close to final version' right from the start. I usually spend a long time going over things in my mind before sitting down and writing, but then need few revisions.
I would certainly like to see the results of the people here as soon as we know the winners.

A special 'Hot off the emergency press' Warp Rift Compilation edition would certainly be welcome in my book, containing all assorted non-winning articles as they are released. Indeed, it'd need SG's permission to do so, but I doubt it'd be that much work.
Just check to see if there's any they really want to keep in stock for later.

Well, I have one article I haven't finished yet. I can always submit that to WR.

We cant use the articles submitted directly to SG as it would be without the writers consent. However, when the winners are revealed I could encourage the remainder to also submit to us. I would need to clear it with Jervis first, though.

I think SG would be stupid not to allow Warp Rift to publish the "losing" ships if their authors so desire (a note in the blog would be nice to let people who dont check the forum know too) - if there is a problem I'm guessing it'll be from the lawyers.
Did we ever see more of the BFG scenarios from the competition other than the winner's and runners-up's missions?

I don't think we saw the scenarios others submitted who did not win.
Yes, lawyers will be the tricky ones.
In anycase, why not let's submit more stuff to WR? It can have a Famous Ship section, which is not a competition, to differentiate it with the BFG Character Ship Competition.
